Luke swallowed shakily as he glanced over to Ashton, who had forced down as many signs of emotion as he could. This was just another job, he had to treat it like one.
"Just kneel on the floor, okay? It's fine."
Luke did as he was told, letting himself cry without consequence, although he stayed as silent as he could.
Luke knelt on the floor and closed his eyes, trying desperately to calm his breathing. He didn't even bother trying to stop crying. It made him feel so pathetic, but there was no chance of him calming down. Not now.
It wasn't more than a matter of moments until he felt the barrel of Ashton's .44 pressed viciously against his forehead.
All Luke could focus on was the cold metal pressed against his skin. It was at point blank range - Ashton wouldn't miss.
He had the sickening sensation of dread as he heard the click of the silver handgun loading a bullet into place.
Ashton pulled the trigger.
