Fragility

I want you to recall a day
A day that you felt elated
Now a day that you were at your lowest
Which do you remember the most?

How easy it was
Making a day so special
Cease to exist
And seem less important
Your emotions
I have placed in a shift

There you were flying on cloud 9
As you laid on the ground
Feeling so alive
Next to the one you love

To have you transported to a world
A world where you just want to run away
To escape from this dead reality
Desperately wishing for an off switch
To erase every detail, every doleful memory

This is a means to be human
To be vulnerable and fragile
Much like a snowflake
That flies as it's born
Lies when it's alive
And runs when it's dead
To be honest, that's how life is
Filled with moments of fragility
