This poem is going to be a little unconventional
I need to talk about this word: loss
My apologies, I don't mean to be so cruel
I'm sure there are some memories you aren't willing to cross

Loss come in many forms
You may have experienced a death of
a loved one, misplaced something of
value to you or even lost someone in a
relationship be it intimate or friendly
No matter what form, it still hurts as
if your insides have been pulled out
and then left in hell to burn

People always tell you to move on like it's so goddamn easy and with time, all wounds will heal.
Desolation can be so consuming that you don't know what it means to be safe and sound
The very essense of them still lingers and lives on within you no matter how much you choose to ignore the way you feel
Sometimes when your sadness seems bottomless, it is because your love knows no bounds.

Loss isn't just a word anymore
It has been made into something else
It's what it stands for, not to change
But for us to reveal ourselves

Hey Strangers, I wrote this poem to show that beneath everything that we lost, there is something new we can learn about ourselves and that they are not truly lost forever. We shouldn't let loss consume us and  change us as person.
