Why am I so afraid?
Afraid of failure
Afraid of taking chances
Why am I afraid to be happy?
Can't even tell the girl of my dreams how I feel about her
How she makes my life just a little bit more sunnier
I'm afraid of initiating conversations,
Of running out of things to say.
Even as I type this, I'm afraid of what people might think
I'm afraid of saying or doing the wrong things
Afraid of getting hurt again
I'm afraid that I might not be able to leave a legacy behind
Fear of being forgotten
Lost in existence
