I Hate How I Like, I Like How I Hate

I like to write but I hate what I write
I like to sing but I hate how I sound
Everything written and sung out of spite
About the pain that's all around

I hate how I like to associate myself
With people who have mistreated me in the past
I hate how I like to feel sorry for myself
To the extent, I feel like I'm an outcast

I like being alone but I hate being lonely
I like the idea of falling in love but I hate how love blinds and mutes me
I hate how I still love her
I hate how I still project my delusions onto her

She isn't happy but I can't see that
I project what I want to see
And that it feeds my happiness
Not caring if her heart's a mess or not
