Pauline

There was this girl in school
And her name was Pauline
Before I knew it, my heart became a place that she ruled
I loved the way that she moved in those denim short jeans
Worthy of the status of a queen

No matter how much I chose to ignore my feelings
You were just too strong for my walls
Bringing them down one by one till they all came crumbling
Your pull so strong like the water currents at Niagara Falls

But something went wrong
You started to distance yourself from me
Which made me feel like I didn't belong
What was wrong with me that made you flee?

I had a dream of you today
And I had my arms around your waist
The only place with me you'd stay
I pulled you in for a kiss, hoping from your memory, I wouldn't be erased

Hey Strangers, so the girl from the previous two poems is Pauline. I've been getting to know her better but I feel like she's distant (i don't blame her cause she got out from a serious relationship) and hence this poem was written.

Anyways, comment below if you have ever been in this situation before. As always love ya😘😘
