It hurt
To see you hurt
What are you trying to hide?
Behind this facade
You start to wear sunglasses
Even if the day wasn't sunny
Hoping to cover up the marks
Fresh from last night
Pointless
Bright as day
For everyone to see
Enough to know
That your mascara's running
Cause he made you cry
Afraid aren't you
Of people asking questions
Cause deep down
You didn't want it to be true
How can it
After everything you and him have been through
You stay on
Hoping he'd change
Waiting for the day
That you can meet the man
The man who told you, "I love you" everyday
The same man who vowed to protect you
"I'm sorry, I won't do it again."
I promise he says
A few weeks pass by
And he was the man you knew and loved
But like a Leopard
He never changed his ways
