I Remember Everything, Do You?

I remember that day well
From the black dress you wore
And a white cardigan on top
To the high heels with the worn out strap

We walked the streets of Orchard
Hoping to pass the time in conversations
So you wouldn't have to watch that horror movie

A coin toss sealed your faith
Tickets in hand, you snapped a photo
With captions about how you can't believe you're doing this
No tag, no nothing
A part of me thought you wanted us to be a secret
Or if this was even a date to begin with

Now looking back to that day
How did we drift apart?
We weren't just friends were we?
A friend wouldn't protect me like you do
A friend wouldn't get mad if I lent my hoodie to another girl
A friend wouldn't ignore me if I lied about having a girlfriend
A friend wouldn't care so much when pushed away
But you did

So what I'm trying to say is
Did you love me as a friend or something more?
Cause I remember everything
And I hope you do too
Even though you're with him
I can't let go
I don't think I ever will
