In A Dream

Once in a dream
I faced my demons
But in reality
I still cower behind the shadows

                          
Once in a dream
I stood up for change
But in reality
I feared it

                          
Once in a dream
I fell in love
But in reality
I wasn't made to be loved

                          
Once in a dream
I had a purpose
But in reality
My life was meaningless

                          
In our dreams
We are our most ideal selves
But in reality
We are so impeccably flawed

                          
Why?
So we could inspire each other
Through our flaws, stories, weaknesses
There's no need for masks anymore
