Today was a very special day for a very special someone. EJ's first birthday! I feel like I gave birth to him this morning.

I got ready and head downstairs where Zeke and EJ are. Zeke was feeding him breakfast.

"Morning sweetie," I said to Zeke with a smile.

"Morning," he smiled back.

"And happy birthday to you!" I smiled and picked up EJ and gave him a big kiss, making him laugh.

"Good, you feed him. He's not listening to me for crap," Zeke said making me laugh.

"Ok baby EJ, let's get you to eat and dressed," I said looking at him.

It was almost 6:00 pm here in Dallas. Zeke and I decided to have a party for EJ at home. We invited mostly family, and some friends. He was

"Awww look at this cute one!" Zeke's friend said, picking up EJ.

It was Dak.

"I can't believe this guy is already 1!" He said.

"You've known us for like 6 months," I laughed.

"Doesn't matter Kaylla," Dak laughed.

"Ok everyone, today we celebrate the wonderful life of EJ Elliot. My grandson is turning 1!" my mom announced in the microphone. Everyone applauded. Dak held him up and smiled. Zeke put his arms around me as I teared up of joy. I just couldn't believe that our baby is 1 already! By the time we know it, he's gonna be in college, and then I'm gonna be a-

Zeke interrupted me of my thoughts, "Baby, what are you thinking about?"

"Just, by the  time we know it, he's gonna be in college and he's gonna have his own kids, and it my goodness!" I cried.

"Shh baby, it's ok. Let's just enjoy this time now,"

"Ok," I sniffed.

What a tiring day. I went straight to bed. Zeke came after me after he put EJ to bed.

Zeke jumped on me making me laugh.

"Zeke, I'm tired," I said.

"That's why I'm laying on you," he smiled.

Then we stayed like that for the rest of the night.
