"This way, boys," Mark walked over our two new kids to the Fortress. "This will be your home for the next two weeks."

"Kyle and Will?" I asked, looking them up and down.

"Yeah, that's us." One of the boys said. He was shorter than me, with shaggy dark blond hair and bright blue eyes. Annie was going to like him.

"Welcome to the Fortress," I threw both of them a dark blue bandana and pointed to the empty bunks. "Pick a bed, then unpack while we go over the rules."

"So, we're in? Just like that?" The other boy asked. He was the shorter out of the pair, but not by much. He wore his sunglasses on top of his head even though he could be wearing them on his face, probably because the bridge of his nose was burnt red. I didn’t know which was which yet, so to me they became Shaggy and Sunglasses.

"Well, yeah. We picked you." Alexi shrugged.

"What did you expect?" I asked. No one really knew what it took to become a head until they became one, so our process was a mystery. But with all the rumors I'd heard, no one ever even mention having to do anything to become a head. It was just after getting in that people speculated about.

"We don't have to prove ourselves or anything?" Sunglasses asked.

"You guys aren't going to like, initiate us or something?" Shaggy followed up.

"God, is that what they say we do?" Alexi laughed. "I've never heard that one."

"This isn't a fraternity guys," I assured them. "We're not going to haze you or anything."

"So we don't have to do anything to prove ourselves worthy?" Shaggy asked.

"I never said that," I said. "I said we weren’t going to haze you."

"Don't worry, boys. You'll be doing plenty of work to prove yourselves starting tonight," Jack smiled mischievously. "Now, do as you're told and pick a damn bed so we can go over the rules before we have to go meet the girls for dinner."

"But before any of that, can you please tell me which one of you is which?" Keith asked. "Because I have no clue."

"I'm Kyle," the taller one said.

"And I'm Will."

"Alright, now that that's settled, grab a bunk and unpack. We have about," I checked my watch, "thirty minutes until we have to go and you guys still need to know the rules."

"Rule one, wear the bandana's at all times." Jack began. "They make you as a head, and seeing as no one knows you two yet you kind of need them."

"Rule two, the war only goes on at night." Alexi said.

"Say what?" Kyle asked. "You mean we don't go after them during the day? We could mess with their stuff when they're not in section, that's giving up prime opportunity."

"We're friends with the girls, and we don't play dirty." I told them. "Only Dominic does that."

"There's something else you guys should know." Jack said. "We're kind of in a double war at the moment, the one at night with the girls,"

"And one at all times with Dominic that asshole." I finished.

"Isn't he the one who basically lives in the Big House?" Will asked. "Who thinks he's so cool because he walks around wearing aviators and tank tops and always gets into fights with people?"

"That's correct. We don't like him," I told them. "And he hates us with a passion that rivals the burning of the sun. So I recommend staying away from him."
