*Kelsey's POV*

Today's the day of The X factor auditions! At the moment I am lined up with Jake and Aunt Maddie waiting to get inside and get the number labels.

I was wearing an American flag muscle tank, denim high waisted shorts and black folded combat boots with a camouflage detailing inside.

K: "I am so excited"I started jumped then I accidentally bumped into someone.

K: "I'm so sorry"

..: "that's alright I'm Zayn, Zayn Malik"he offered a handshake

K: "I'm Kelsey, Kelsey Daniels"I mocked him and accepted his offer.

Z: "what brings you here?"

K: "I want to start a singing career and my mum and aunt wanted me to audition"

Z: "is that your mum?"he said pointing to Aunt Maddie

K: "no that's my Aunt Maddie"I laughed

Z: "where's your mum?"

K: "she passed away a year ago"I said quietly looking down at my boots.

Z: "oh I'm sorry I didn't know"he pulled me into a warm hug

K: "it's not your fault"I smiled weakly

K: "what brings you here?"

Z: "same thing as you minus the whole mum and aunt thing. But my family are supporting me with my decision"he grinned, which caused me to giggle.

'Danngg he's as cute as a button!'i thought to myself.

K: "what song are you singing?"

Z: "let me love you by Mario how about you?"

K: "just a song I've wrote"

Z: "can't wait to hear it"

K: "can't wait to sing it"I joked

He laughed.

Z: "you're funny, tell me about yourself"

H: "well, I was born in Manchester with my mum and dad. I moved to Sydney Australia at age 14. I sing and do gymnastics I was born on January 31 and I am 16 years young. Your turn!"

Z: "I was born in Bradford with my mum, dad and 3 sisters named Safaa, Waliya and Doniya. I sing, I am horrible at dancing and I'm 16 as well" (A/N: just go with the whole age stuff please!)

We were getting to know a lot about each other until it was Zayn's turn to sing in about 2 minutes (I'm guessing).

K: "good luck Zaynie poo"

Z: "oh so I have a nickname now I see?"he raised an eyebrow at me.

K: "problem?"I cocked an eyebrow as well.

Z: "nope, not at all"he confirmed simply.

K: "good!"

Z: "well I better get going, good luck to you too Kelsey bear"

K: "looks like we both have nicknames for each other aye?"I smirked.

Z: "problem?"he mocked me, sending me a wink.

K: "ha,ha very funny Malik"

Z: "so now we're going by last names"

K: "maybe, maybe not"

He rolled his eyes chuckling.

Then his number was called.

Z: "well I better get going, later Daniels"he gave me a quick warm hug.

K: "later Zayn"I smiled.

He winked in return and walked up on stage.

I swear I was blushing when he winked at me. Gosh he's so cute!

I can hear Zayn singing perfectly from the side of the stage,damn his voice is beautiful!

Backstage worker: "your up next Kelsey"

K: "thanks"I took a microphone.

Zayn got off the stage which meant it was my turn. They called my number and I hesitantly walked on stage.

Louis: "what's your name and where are you from"

K: "my name is Kelsey Daniels and I'm from Manchester"

The audience screamed.

Simon: "what song will you be singing for us today?"

K: "I'm going to be singing a song I've wrote by myself it's called Warrior"

They nodded, so I started singing with pure confidence.

"This is a story that I have never told
I gotta get this off my chest to let it go
I need to take back the light inside you stole

And you steal like you're a pro

I walked to one side of the stage and gazed over to the crowd.

All the pain and the truth
I wear like a battle wound
So ashamed, so confused
I was broken and bruised

I noticed Zayn was at the side of the stage just like I was when he was performing.

Out of the ashes, I'm burning like a fire

I've got shame, I've got scars

I looked at the judges I noticed Cheryl had tears in the corners of her eyes, Louis had a small smile on his face and Simon..well he had a straight serious face which scared me to be honest.

I noticed that tears were streaming down my face, I quickly wipe them off my cheeks and under my eyes. I am so glad I decided to ware waterproof mascara.

Cheryl: "that was beautiful Kelsey I can tell that you are a very strong girl"

K: "thank you"

Louis: "now judges lets vote"

Cheryl: "I'm going to say yes"

Louis: "that song was amazing! It's a yes for me!"

Simon: "Kelsey you have a very strong and beautiful voice. That's 3 yeses!"

K: "thank you so much!"I sobbed and ran off stage

Z: "we made it through!!"he hugged me

J: "that was beautiful Kels!"he sobbed

K: "awww Jakey!"I hugged him

Aunt Maddie: "you were fantastic"she smiled with tearful eyes

K: "thanks oh yeah Zayn this is my best friend Jake and my aunt Maddie"

Z: "ello"he waved

K: "we're going to boot camp!"

J: "WOOP WOOP"

We laughed.

Z: "okay well we've got to get ready for tomorrow so I'll see you at boot camp!"

K: "okay bye!"we hugged and went our separate ways.
