The crowds erupted in applause and Charlotte returned to the pavilion where her father beamed at her.

When her cousin got close enough, Rochelle whispered, "Impressive."

Charlotte smiled and released a long sigh, "You can't believe how tense I was. Father really needs to stop pushing me into such situations! But now it's your turn make us proud."

Rochelle shuddered and said, "You know my history with the bow. It isn't pretty."

Her cousin laughed and gently pushed her forward towards the arena. Some women were already lining up and Rochelle moved to join their ranks.

Before she could, however, she was bypassed by a frantic princess who excitedly claimed the spot Rochelle was heading towards.

Amberley smugly smiled her way before turning back to her equipment. Rochelle rolled her eyes and took the last spot.

The prince and Graham also leisurely made their way down. Daniel settled besides his sister and took her bow from her.

Everyone wondered what he was doing but the prince expertly took aim and let the arrow loose. To everyone's surprise it struck right in the centre.

The crowds applauded and Rochelle wondered if it was going to be a win finally for the foreign prince.

Amberley snatched her bow back and was looking around for someone. Rochelle didn't give it another thought and turned to strap on her arm guard.

She was having some difficulty with it and as she was fiddling with the strings large fingers stopped her much smaller ones. Instinctively she knew who it was and the heat of Amber's glare burned into her back.

She really wasn't in the right mental state to deal with either of them so she let Graham lace up the guard without complaint.
