Jeffery's POV:

As I was coming back from my most recent kill due to the girl striking more unknown emotions in me, Masky said that Slenderman wanted me to report to him immediately when I returned. It wasn't a surprise, ever since she came here I've been going to his office non-stop, this was probably about how she was able to make a phone call to her dad earlier. I couldn't help it! Her eyes...those damned eyes! I should have just killed her, screw what punishment I would have received. It would be better than whatever she has over me. Making my way to his office, I couldn't help but think of how she looked when I caught her with the phone, her face was desperate and her eyes were holding the most emotion I've seen out of them. When I think about it, it's the same expression most of my victims wear when I'm about to tear them to shreds. Usually that expression would make my blood-lust rise dramatically but with her... it's different. Ever since I saw that on her arms I've been treating her differently. Fuck! I don't even know why, she's just another pitiful human girl! As I turned the doorknob I pushed my raging thoughts out of my mind and waited for him to speak.

"We have a problem..." He simply stated.

He sounded a bit frantic but he was trying his best to keep his calm. It wasn't working out so well for him, you could see how stiff he was and the tension you could feel miles away. The only thing I could think of was, What the hell did she do now?

"What's the problem then?" I asked him. I wasn't ready when he turned around. His face, no longer blank but replaced with razor sharp teeth, his skin making ripping noises just to show them. I didn't know what to say really, but in my opinion he looked fucking awesome!

"Holy shit! That's cool as hell! Did she do this?" It was really hard to hide my excitement, if she could do this with Slenderman oh man, what could she do to me? I stopped at that thought because she could most likely kill me in that book of hers but I decided to not think about that for now.

"This is not cool at all! In fact, it's the opposite of that! Go fetch the girl this instant!"

"Damn alright chill, I'll go get her."

-o-

As I returned with her, Slenderman turned around again and her face went pale, "D-Did I do that?" She asked, almost as if she was afraid of the answer.

"Listen (Y/n), I need you to explain to me what emotions you were feelings to make this out of me. And if you don't mind, I'd also like to see the picture."

She nodded and grabbed the book out of my hands, flipping to the last page was him. Teeth and all. While it was a pretty badass drawing, I've come to learn that not all of her drawings are nice. Take the Zalgo one for example, at least she didn't accidentally give him new powerups like she did with Slenderman. I watched as he inspected the drawing and sighed, "Now explain the emotions please."

"It was just a compelling urge to draw, it was almost like my hands were just itching to draw on it, and when I finally got it I decided to go with you over Jeff. I-"

"What?! I could have gotten cool ass powers!" I spoke over her.

"Jeffery!" Slenderman scolded.

"Tch, fine whatever."

"Anyways, continue."

He nodded at her and she looked at me for a second more and began explaining again.

"They weren't ill feelings towards you Mr. Slenderman I was honestly just drawing, I was testing things out and things just happened. It was almost like a big blur was going on while I was drawing you, like I already knew what I wanted to do. Like...I already knew what you needed."

"What I needed?" He asked.

That caused her to jump and blush a bit, this was one of the only times I haven't seen her so... sad. So dead inside. And I couldn't help but think to myself that she needed to stay this way, she needed to smile. As I caught that train of thought, I tore my eyes away from her and forced myself to look at the ground, curse this girl. Curse her to hell and back.

"D-Don't take this the wrong way Mr. Slenderman but...you don't exactly have a face."

"I'm aware of that fact. I've never had one."

"But now you...kinda do? I mean maybe not eyes or anything but now you have teeth and you can uh... chew and stuff?"

The way she was trying to not upset him was comical really, it was almost making me snicker. But I knew if I did that, he would only make one of his tendrils smack me upside the head. I looked to Slenderman again and he put his head in his hands, I wasn't sure if he was just done or contemplating what to do next. What he was gonna say shocked both me and her.

"You're powers are growing, and quick too. We need to start helping you develop them into something you can use to protect yourself."

"W-what!? No I can't do that! I just draw to draw, I didn't want any of this to happen!" She was retaliating, not a good idea.

"It doesn't matter what you intended! Would you rather us help you harness these powers or would you rather have Zalgo use you for them then kill you!"

"It would at least help if you told me why it was so important in the first place! Being killed or not, at least he said he would tell me!"

"I have told you what you needed to know for now and that's final!" He slammed his tendril on his desk and to my surprise, it broke in half. It clearly wasn't something he was expecting as the whole room grew quiet and he just stared at the halves. While he was staring at that, I was looking at his tendril, the tops...were spiked and they looked thicker than before? It seems he noticed as well and cleared his throat to get our attention.

"That is all for today, you're both dismissed."

It was her who went out the door first, then I. I could tell she was upset by the way her shoulders were stiff and her fists clenched down by her sides. I followed her to my room and she threw her sketchbook across the floor, yeah she wasn't so happy at the moment. I didn't really know what to say so I just looked at her and settled with, "Hey, look it's getting late. We should just call it a night..." She looked at me, god dammit her eyes again. No emotion, just like the time where she cut herself. The look caught me off guard and I didn't know what else to say. I just settled myself in my bed and tried to sleep.

-o-

I woke up to a familiar scent, blood. My first instinct was to get the closest thing to me and slash it, bit by bit. But then when I was going for her, she wasn't in the floor. I paused, my instincts clearly leaving me as I see a sliver of light underneath the bathroom door. Dammit no! I ran to the door, locked.

"(Y/n)! Dammit (Y/n) open the door!"

There wasn't a response. I was honestly panicking. After I kicked the lock a few times the door swung open, and there she was. Huddled over the bathtub, her arms were freshly cut and she was holding a razor vertically on her vein.

"(Y/n) no!" I ran over to her and grabbed the razor, only for her to try and get it back. I slid it across the room and grabbed her.

"Let me go!"

"I won't!"

She was hitting me again and again, but I wasn't letting her do that to herself. Not again. After a few minutes she calmed down and eventually just started crying, her sobs were filled with hurt and just echoed off the bathroom walls. It really wasn't easy to just sit there, but that's what I did. I sat there and held her until she fell asleep.
