Destruction she left behind

  Do you not see the broken hearts you leave behind you,
the destruction and chaos left in your wake,
the shells of people you walk over
and the trust that you break.
 
It was clear as day that this girl didn't care whose heart she broke, whose spirit she killed or whose fire she dimmed. For her playing with hearts and pulling at the strings of ones emotion was nothing but a way to pass time. She didn't bother to notice the person she left behind, defeated and lost. His faith in people diminished and his bridges to others cut off. No one could understand his state no matter how much they tried because the truth was he was scared of coming close to someone, to trust someone again, he was afraid to even try.
