Riley Minkus-Matthew's POV.

I sit there, bored, waiting for someone to tell me something to do.

Farkle left an hour ago with the kids to go grocery shopping, and he didn't bring me.

Apparently I needed a break.

Why would I, Riley, need a break?

The phone rings and I jump up with a smile.

"Hello?"

"Hey honey!"

"Peaches!" I squeal. "I haven't talked to you in days!"

"I've been a little busy," She says. "Sorry."

"Me too!" I squeal again. "Zoey and Aaryn are so cute!"

"I'm sure they are," Maya says. "But my kids are cuter."

"How could you say that?!"

"Because they are," She says with a laugh. "But I'm sure you get better sleeps then I do."

"Why's that?"

"Because the twins screamed all night last night," She says.

"But they're so small!"

"Don't judge them by their size," 'say replies. "They're the loudest things you can ever hear in your life."

I still can't imagine little babies screaming. Especially Grace and Bethany. From the small glimpse that I had seen of them, they looked so small and quiet.

"So?" I ask with a smile. "How are things with Lucas?"

She sighs, "The usual.  We like each other one minute, then we hate each other the next."

"And do you like each other right now?"

"We were...." She says, "But now we aren't."

"Why not?"

"I'll tell you soon," Maya says. "Can you come over tomorrow night?"

"Just me?"

"No," Maya replied with a laugh. "Bring Farkle and umm... Zoey?"

"Zoey and Aaryn," I say.

"Yes! Bring them! Elizabeth's really excited to meet Zoey!"

"Okay! I'll see you tomorrow!"

"See you soon Honey."

I smile, well my smile just gets bigger. "Love you Peaches."

"Love you too Riles!"

I hang up the phone and decide to start making dinner myself.

"What to do? What to do?" I sing.

I search through the pantry, which has very little.

I'm not the best cook, but I'm sure I can do this.

I grab some pasta, red sauce, and sprinkles. Since you know there needs to be something happy and special about everything. Or else it's just not cool.

I grab the tap and fill the pot up with water. That's what you do, right?

I place it in the oven and wait for something to happen.

While I wait, I set the table.

This isn't that hard.

Well, until I notice the smell.

"Is hot water supposed to smell?" I wonder out loud.

I open the oven with a small shriek. The pot is melting, and smoke comes from all directions.
