"Kevin will stay." wika ni Brenda kay Raphael nang mag-hang-up nang tawagan nito ang binata upang alamin ang sitwasyon nilang dalawa ni Maya.

"Manong, derecho na po tayo sa hotel." wika naman ni Raphael sa driver nila.

"Aren't you envious of them?" wika ni Brenda kay Raphael nang may tonong pang-aasar.

Nangiti naman si Raphael sa tanong ni Brenda.

"A little." matapat na sagot ng binata. "But I'm genuinely happy for them." patuloy pa niya. "Especially for Maya." dagdag pa nito.

"Ah-uh?!" wika ni Brenda.

"Because ever since I've been friends with Maya, alam kong gustung-gusto na niya si Kevin." sabi pa ni Raphael.

"Well, if you ask me, I really do envy them." wika naman ni Brenda. "I'm fully aware on how I treat Maya before." patuloy nito. "But I can't really compete with true love." sabi pa niya.

"That's definitely true." pagsang-ayon naman ni Raphael. "I admit that I really got confuse about my feelings towards Maya." patuloy pa nito. "But I realized it the moment I talked to Kevin that they're the one meant for each other. I realized that I can only be his one true friend but I failed him." dagdag pa nito.

"Knowing Maya, I'm sure he understands." tugon ni Brenda. "And with his attitude, I really can't blame if Kevin falls deeply inlove to him." patuloy pa niya.

Nangiti na lamang ang natugon ni Raphael sa tinuran ng dalaga.

"But I think it would be much better kung hindi mo na lang ako hiniwalayan noon." pagbibiro ni Brenda.

Natawa naman si Raphael dito.

"Malay mo, balang araw." sagot ng binata.

"I'm just kidding." natatawang wika ni Brenda.

"I know." sagot ulit ni Raphael. "But they say that jokes are half meant." dagdag pa nito.

"Maybe I mean it." sabi pa ulit ni Brenda at natatawa na lang sa mga sinasabi.

"I know." tugon ni Raphael.

Nagkatawanan na lamang ang dalawa hanggang sa makarating na sila ng hotel na tutuluyan nila.
