Bringing Up The Past (Part 3)

- Jack's Perspective -

"Felix! You scared the hell out of me!" I said while punching him playfully in the arm

"Scared you? It would've been my dick posted all over someone's social media." Mark said jokingly while readjusting his pants

* Bzzzt * * Bzzzt *

Mark and I felt our phones vibrate in our back pockets and saw that it was a text from Felix.

"Did you send it to anyone else?" I ask

Felix unlocked his phone and checked his messages. You, my Mom, Mark...

"You sent it to your mother!?" I ask while nearly dropping my phone

"No! Chill dude, just playing." Felix replied with a slight chuckle

I shook my head while laughing about how this situation could've been a whole lot worse.

We heard a hoard of footsteps come toward the locker room door and ran back into our bay.

* Time skip to lunch *

- Felix's Perspective -

I scrolled though my texts once more between Cry and I. I remembered that Cry had wanted me to sit with him at lunch to talk some things through.

I saw him sitting alone at his table for once. Ken and Yami nowhere in sight.

He was pressed against the wall, his head propped up on his hand as he stared blankly ahead of him.

I walked toward him and set my tray in front of him. He lifted his head up slightly and locked eyes with me. He looked... hurt?

I sat across from him and ran my fingers through my hair once. He continued to stare at me until I broke the silence between us.

"So...? What did you so desparately need to tell me?"

He sighed lightly and stared at the empty space between us. I saw him digging in his jacket pocket for something. A crinkled up piece of notebook paper.

"Here." He said while pushing the paper toward me.

I reached out and lifted the paper off the table and unfolded it carefully. I could just barely make out the date on the paper, it looked stained from a few droplets of water in a few places on the paper.

It read:

March 17th, 2013 (Everyone was 14-15)

We've known eachother for a while now, and I just want to let you know how I feel about you. You deserve to know. The way that when I look at you, into your eyes, my heart skips a beat. Hell, it stops all-together.*"water" droplet* But, that's not all of it. I want you to know that you're all I can think about, you're the only reason I smile, and am able to make it through the day. I love everything about you, I can't explain enough how I do. You're eyes, like soft rivers of happiness and safety. The way you smile, laugh, run your fingers through your hair, your voice. Even the way you look at me. I could go on for hours, but I've made enough of a fool of myself already. I understand if you never want to see me again... but please know that I love you and I'll always be here for you. ~ F

I stared in disbelief at the paper as Cry fiddled with his thumbs.

"Y-you kept this?" I ask, my voice wavering lightly

Cry nodded and looked up to face me.

"I'm sorry Felix." He said, reaching his hand out to me

I folded the note up carefully and handed it back to him.

"I-I just don't know what to say. Why did this all come back to you now when we... I ended it a year ago? I thought you would've moved on."

"I-"

*Bell rings*

Before he could finish speaking, everyone began to rush out of the lunchroom. I decided "Trample of be trampled." and began walking to class.

Cry gestured for me to call him, but I pretended to not notice. I couldn't look at him right now. I miss him. I miss us, but I can't explain what's holding me back from going back to him.

A conscience? What's it trying to protect me from?

Lemme just explain what time they're in right now. It's currently 2016, about the same time as us, but they just started the new quarter. (I.E. Why they just started gym.) They're currently in the 10th week of school *9 weeks in a quarter*. I'll try to keep time relevant to now, as in, I'll post Halloween chapters around late October, Christmas and so forth :) thanks for reading& I just wanted to clear that up for anyone that wanted to know :) So, I love you guys!
