Chapter 42

Doesn't like

I skimmed his features. My eyes danced over it. I am afraid the sporadic breathing I am blowing, I'd wake him up. I closed my eyes and I still see his domineering features. His eyelashes meeting his high cheekbones. His pointed nose. His pink lips, that I kissed. It was my first kiss from him. From him. Yes. I gulped at that thought. Erase! Erase! His strong jaw, too. Damn it. The image is clear in my head. My fingers want to graze his jaw. I am just restraining myself.

That's right, Grace.

He's sleeping peacefully. Ngayon lang siya makakatulog ng mahambing. I hope so. I slept, too, beside him. I forced him to sleep before we could talk things. He needs it. I hate sleep deprivation. I am just scared of the outcome of it. Mabuti na lamang pumayag siya. Because I really want to sleep, too. I haven't had a good sleep though.

We're both facing each other. Though, he's asleep while I am awake. His arm draped over my hip. His leg, too, not letting me go.

God. Please, restrain me for touching his hair. Please. Thank you.

I licked my bottom lip, then bit it hard.

I can't believe we're together...again. I mean something more than what we had. Something I wanted since then.

But my hand brushed his hair. Yes.

Damn it.

Gumala pa ang kamay ko sa pisngi niya. He is sharp, I know that. He is deadly sharp. His cheekbones. Oh gods. Then my thumb skimmed his bottom lip. A lump rose in my throat. Woah, stop yourself, Grace Encarguez.

I stopped when his lips curved upward. A lone dimpled smile appeared.

Holy—"Evening, love." His husky voice making me shiver.

His brown eyes stared directly at mine, drinking my being. His emotions I could see to those pair looking at me, grazing my features, inch by inch. I saw his Adam's apple bobbed up and down. Nanatili akong nakatingin sa mata niya. Same intensity. But the more he consumed me, my coherent thought will vanish.

"Shit," I whispered under my breath. Hindi ko alam kung saan ilalagay ang kamay ko. But Densel caught my wrist and put my palm on his mouth. He kissed it, tenderly that I almost melt in his bed.

I blushed. Immediately. No wasted time. I loathed time.

He grinned even more.

"Don't—" I interrupted when his face came near to me. He let go of my hand. His breath on my cheek, my lips, my jaw. I almost bit my lip. A shiver rested in my arm.

"Don't what love?"

My withered glare didn't affect him. He tucked a piece of hair behind my ear.

"Don't smile." I looked away, stare somewhere. Hindi ko alam kung saan titingin.

"Trans—" I covered his mouth with my hand. His lips lifted. Yes, he's smiling.

"Densel," I breathed his name.

Inalis niya ang kamay ko sa bibig niya. But he kissed it before letting it go.

"Grace," he answered back. His eyes flitting over mine.

"Chico."

"Carmela."

My lips curved upward.

"We're back, love."

"Are we?" My brows creased, feigning. I touched my chest, pretending shock.
