A CANVAS YOU CREATED

My eyes are bleed the colors that stain my heart
The colors you painted unknowingly
I'm screaming at you to stop
But my words are drowning
I want to show you how I feel
But you're painting a different picture
My heart is covered in colors you placed
But you can't even see them
I'm pleading for you to wipe it all clean
I'm tired of feeling every brush, every stroke
But you can't hear me, you don't even know I'm here
You just keep splattering paint onto my heart
Using your touch as a brush that's bruising me
But after all, pain is beauty
And if beauty is art, then I must be a fucking masterpiece

A masterpiece you created without knowing

I hope one day you'll pull back the covers and see the canvas you created
I hope one day you'll see just how beautiful I am
