    IZZY TWISTED A CURLY strand of hair around her finger. She hadn't been this nervous in a very long time. She has lost her first mother, and she wasn't about to lose her second.
    
                          
    Jasmine smiled weakly at Izzy as she clutched Anthony's hand. "This is it," she said. 
    
                          
    "You're going to live," Anthony said. "You're going to bring our child into the world. I couldn't live in a world without you."
    
                          
    Jasmine felt a tear roll down her cheek, and Izzy started getting choked up too. "Jazzy, I can't lose you," Izzy sobbed. 
    
                          
    "I'm gonna be fine," Jasmine said. "But, Izzy, you did hear what the doctor said. I might not make it. If I..." She swallowed hard, holding back tears. "If I don't live, you will be responsible for this baby. You'll also probably be responsible for Anthony...because he'll probably go insane with grief. I-I really am sorry." Everyone in the room was sobbing now. "I love you."
    
                          
    Izzy nodded. "I promise, I'll look after the baby when you're not there."
    
                          
    "Alright," the doctor said, walking into the room.
