David seemed nervous all night. What was wrong?
"David, are you alright?" I asked
We were walking back to our shared apartment after our date.
"Yeah, I've been wanting to ask you something all night and I can't wait any longer" David said
"Ask away" I said, smirking
David let go of my hand and ran it through his hair.
"Bekka, we've been together for four years now and I can't imagine being without you" David said, getting down on one knee
"Will you marry me?" David asked, pulling out a ring box
"Yes" I said, tears of happiness forming in my eyes
--- four months later-----
"Are you alright babe?" David asked, noticing how stressed I was
"Yeah, just this wedding planning is getting a bit stressful and my mother isn't helping" I said
David kissed my temple and rubbed my back. I leaned into my finace and rested my head on his shoulder.
"Want to elope?" David asked
I chuckled.
"You know our families would kill us if we do" I replied
"Yeah, but if this is stressing you too much, we can always elope and have to deal with the wrath of our family" David said, causing me to chuckle
"We'll get through this, it can only get better" David reassured me
"Thank you babe" I said before kissing David
"Oops sorry, I'll let you two have a moment" my mom said as she walked in on me and David
David and I chuckled as my mom practically ran out of the living room.
"Remember, this is our wedding. We get to pick out everything and it is completely okay to tell your mom no on something you don't want in the wedding" David said, kissing the top of head again.
