CHAPTER 28 - THE DILEMMA

************************************************************************************************************

Avery flew down to the court-yard where Dylan and Troy were messing around. Avery laughed at them as she arrived to their level.

"I cannot believe your going to be king one day!" Avery laughed and Dylan laughed with her.

"Hey! There's nothing wrong with having some fun!" He smiled. He dropped the armour and walked up to her, smiling before taking her into his arms and kissing her on the lips, long and hard. Avery flung her arms around his neck and pulled Dylan closer to her.

"When your done!" Troy said sarcastically, after he had cleared his throat. Avery and Dylan broke off their embrace, laughing and smiling at Troy who stood their awkwardly.

"Ignore him..." Dylan smiled at him as he took Avery's hand and walked over to where Troy stood. He faked a laugh before he spoke.

"Why?" Troy asked.

"Because you're just jealous you haven't found anyone you can love that loves you back..." Dylan joked as he attatched his armour to his body.

"Actually I have," Troy announced and Avery's eyes opened wide.

"Really? Who? Oh, do tell me!" Avery begged as she walked to Troy. He shrugged his shoulders.

"I don't think it would be a good idea to tell you if I haven't told her how I feel..." Troy muttered. Avery stared at him. Dylan handed each of them a sword and armour.

"Avery, you're going to train in that?" Dylan said as he eyed Avery up and down. She looked down at her dress and sighed. She'd forgotten to change. Closing her eyes, she pointed her finger to herself a pale yellow short, dress appeared on her body. She smiled at Dylan who was gearing up.

Avery put on her armour and took hold of her sword before turning her attention back to Troy, who was fixing his armour.

"You could tell me, because then I can help you and her," Avery mentioned and Troy stopped what he was doing. He grabbed his sword and looked at Avery.

"If I tell you, I'm worried you'll do something," Troy sighed and Avery frowned at him.

"What makes you think I'll do something? And to who exactly?" Avery asked, slightly annoyed.

"Okay, you two can start first. The winner fights me," Dylan announced and Avery and Troy nodded. Dylan ordered for them to start and Avery held her sword ready for Troy's impact. Troy thrust his sword forward but Avery dodged it, hitting his sword and spinning it around before they were engulfed into a sword battle. But Avery wasn't going to drop their conversation.

"Answer me! Who exactly would I do something too?" Avery shouted over the clanking of their swords. Troy grunted and he hit Avery's sword with so much power, it almost flew out of her hands.

"Just drop it, it's no big deal!"

"Yes it is! You love someone who could be your soul-mate!" Avery flung her sword at Troy but he hit it back, and she jumped back.

"I don't know about that... and besides, I barely know you, so why shall I tell you?" Troy cried.

"Don't know me that well? Troy, you were going to marry my best friend who's practically my sister!" Avery cried as she thrust her sword towards Troy's torso. He dodged it and did the same to her and she jumped over the sword and landed behind him. He turned quickly and she aimed her sword for his head but his sword blocked the impact. They were fighting with so much energy, trying to push the other down while their swords stood as a barrier before them in a cross.
