-NINA'S POV-

I awoke to the skull splitting, eye throbbing, wrenching mother of all headaches, pain in my head. I tried slapping the annoying squeaking in my ears but it refused to stop, the high pitched whine was slowly driving me insane. I opened my eyes as slowly as possible, letting the light flicker through my lashes. I rubbed the back of my head in embarrassment as I realised I had been passed out on the sofa, I snuggled into the strangely shaped sofa, though it was undoubtedly comfortable, and wrapped myself up in the blanket.

"Good morning beautiful..." A familiar raspy voice came from behind me. I turned my head in surprise and smiled warmly.

"Hey babe," I shook my head trying to recall last nights events, "Shea? Can you, remember what... happened last night at the party?" I blushed a little.

Shea scratched the back of his own head and looked genuinely blank. "um no, I just remember you drinking and... me, drinking, and you passing out and... where are we?" he looked around the room in confusion, then coughed awkwardly.

I giggled at his adorable expression and sighed. "This is Nika's house," I giggled again, recognising the leathery sofa I was stretched across. Slowly, my brain cells clicked into action and I groaned out loud. I cursed the after effects of drinking as my hangover felt like my brain was being pulled apart. I got up lazily and let the comfortable blanket fall to the floor to reveal a very much, shirtless Shea lying behind me on the couch. I took three steps back and bumped into a cold object. The slight ring that erupted around the room caused me to jolt forward in terror. Before I was able to fall face first on the floor I was quickly caught in lightning fast reflexes. In the process I was turned around. My full body refection in the mirror  stared at me with my confused expression. Beside me, tall and proud, with a ginormous grin scrawled across his face stood Shea.

I quietly took in both of our appearances. He was barely clad in low riding shorts, with his hair messy and stuck up on end, whilst I stood braless in his plain white shirt and my polka dot underwear. I felt the pink tinge crawl across my cheeks as I bowed my head in embarrassment. In a quiet mousey voice I enquired, "Did we just... ?" I tried to imply to Shea, without actually overtly addressing the matter.

"Did we just what?" he asked intrigued. Feigning ignorance, I grew bright red again knowing that I would eventually have to openly talk to him about it.

Sucking in a deep breath I blurted it out. "Shea, did we fuck last night?" I grimaced afterward, realising what I had said was far too blunt and straightforward.

He burst out laughing and shook his head, unable to form a coherent sentence due to his laughter, once he had gained his composure he looked me at me solemnly, straight in the eyes and joked. "Should we?" he waggled his eyebrows suggestively, then burst out laughing again. I rolled my eyes at his audacious innuendos and playfully smacked his bare chest, before I too, began giggling hysterically.

The door of the room suddenly opened and Nika ran in, tackling me to the floor in a giant un-Nika-like display of affection. "I heard laughing, giggling and cackling, and just knew you two were awake!" she smiled at the two of us. "You've taken up my family's guest room for long enough!" she joked about.

Nika and Shea shared a knowing look, or rather, Nika stared down a perplexed Shea in what seemed like a pre-arranged move. Almost as though she was taunting him to make a calculated move. If there was something I learned from all those years of friendship, was that this looked like Nika's secret-keeping face. Knowing her, she'd break the eternal vow of silence in under two minutes, before one could prevent her from doing so. To be fair to her however, it was only me she couldnt keep her secretive doings from.
