Melanie hurried to the bleeding boy

Not only were his palms and knees bleeding

Melanie's heart was bleeding as well

She sat down next to him, and brought up her fluffy pink purse

She opened it and Tyler watched her, sobbing and hiccuping

Melanie was always carrying band-aids, so she pulled up one

It was pink with unicorns on it, but Melanie ignored Tyler's complaints

"I can't wear that! I don't need any band-aids anyways!"

He did an attempt to stand up, but Melanie dragged him down again

"It will feel better, I promise"

Tyler didn't answer

When Melanie touched his bloody knee under his ripped up jeans with cotton, Tyler winced

"It's going to be fine, Tyler" she comforted

Yet again he stayed silent, doing nothing else than sob

She made sure to clean his palms too

She felt sorry for him

His hands were so soft and perfectly shaped

They didn't deserve to get injured

Melanie watched him for a while, as he calmed himself down

"I've never really seen a boy cry before," she tenderly spoke

Tyler sniffled "They always said that"

"Who?"

Tyler looked up at Melanie

His eyes were filled of misery

Of tucked away sadness

Melanie had never seen him so vulnerable before

So anxious and insecure

She had always seen him as strong, independent

Powerful rage, supreme victory, red

What was he now?

Blue

"You don't know why I don't go to school"

Melanie shook her head

She didn't know

He had never told her

"I got bullied"
