Ye Haven't Yet
by sloanranger
He'd never met a woman,
nor even yet took sight -
of one that he could care for,
each and every night.
But she, he thought, was special,
he'd approach on bended knee.
He had a yen to nestle,
and told her, openly.
'I'm wondering how to tell you
wondering what to say –
cans't thee but love me true
and I'll marry thee today.'
"Well," she smiled, "I'm not sure,
we've only now just met -
but I don't know if ye'll endure -
I know ye haven't yet."
