Everyone finally started flooding out the meeting room. I stood up with my empty cup in hand.

"Here, let me take that," Carter insists taking my cup.

I give him the empty styrafoam and he walks away.

"Thanks," I call.

My dad was heading his way towards me, so I met him halfway.

"Are we done?" I ask.

"Not yet, Mr. Owens is now going to give us information on what's happening in the next week or two." Dad informs.

I blew air out of my closed mouth so that it made my lips vibrate. Dad puts his hand comfortably on my back.

Carter came back and greeted dad, "hello Mr. French."

"Carter! Why don't you take Lena out shopping? She needs new clothes, since she left them at home." Dad suggests.

"Bu-"

"Of course, sir." Carter cuts in.

"Hu-"

"Have fun and be careful!" Dad shouted as Carter then guided me out of the building.

"Wait, what just happened?" I say confused.

"I have to follow you around, as you shop." he shrugs.

"Uh...okay."

I slowly get in a vehicle with Carter. I sit in the passenger seat still not knowing what just happened. This is the first time getting a ride from Carter, though.

He started the car and starts driving. He drives really well and smooth, probably a requirement to be a bodyguard. We head to the downtown plaza.

"California girls, we're undeniable,

Fine, fresh, fierce,

We got it on lock!"

I love singing. Singing is something everyone could do. Singing is a way to show joy and release stress. Unfortunately, Carter was a very bad singer. When I say bad, I mean terrible. He could most likely cause stress to someone listening. I'm guessing singing isn't a requirement for a bodyguard.

"West coast represent, now put your hands up!"

He starts dancing in his seat in a goofy way while he sang.

"Oh oh oh ohhhhhhh!"

I burst out laughing, cause now he is just making himself sound bad.

He joins in laughing after he stops singing.

"So. . . Katy Perry, huh?" I drag out.

"Yeah, she's a hottie."

I stare at him unbelievably while he keeps his eyes on the road. It's kind of unusual hearing him mention a word like hottie. It's funny, yet odd.

"We're here."

I unbuckle my seatbelt and step out of the black sleek car.

The weather today seems very hot. It definitely is summer time.

I look over at Carter, and he is wearing sunglasses. I'm pretty sure he hasn't been wearing it this whole time.

"Oh what? I don't get any cool shades?" I ask in a joking matter.

He shrugs his shoulders and smirks. Carter looks authentic, or even like he was from the Men in Black movie.

I start to walk through the entrance of the mall. It's an outside mall, so all the shops were on the other side of the wall.
