Chapter 21 - Soon, I guess.

As always, you walk to school with Greyson. It’s kind of awkward that the both of you aren’t saying anything but you tried to keep up.

Y/N: Hey..

Greyson: Hey princess.

I smiled and looked down on my shoes. Butterflies just flew in my stomach.

Greyson: Don’t smile like that!

Y/N: Why?

Greyson: You look like an angel every time you smile.

Greyson’s words made you smile even wider.

Greyson: Hey… about yesterday…..

Silence occurred. We both avoided each other’s gaze.

Y/N: Hey!! Are you forgetting your promise?

Greyson: Oh. Uh, of course not! Let’s go?

You smiled at him as he smiled at you.

{Dismissal time}

Cyrene: Hey, I noticed something weird today. I bet Sam and Aus noticed it too.

Samantha: Well, actually I noticed something weird too, but really great.

Y/N: What is it?

Austin: Actually, we noticed something really different about you and Greyson today.

Greyson: About us?

Cyrene: Yeah! I mean, you guys haven’t left each other’s side for the whole day! Well, except if one of you goes to the comfort room.

You and Greyson just smiled.

Samantha: Oh, c’mon guys! Tell us.

Greyson: Okay, okay! I’ll say it.

The three of them looked eagerly on Greyson, waiting for him to say it.

Greyson: I confessed to (Y/N) yesterday and she did the same thing.

Cyrene and Samantha freaked out.

Cyrene: OMG, you what??!?!?!

Samantha: Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!! I can’t believe this!!!!! (You and Greyson’s ship name) is real!!! Omg!

Austin: Ah, great. Finally, you did it.

Y/N: Yeah but I told him to promise me to stay best friends with me.

The huge smiles on Cyrene’s and Samantha’s face turned into a frown.

Cyrene: You what?! WHY?!

Y/N: Uhm..I don’t know. I guess I’m not yet ready.

Cyrene: Well, when will you be ready?

Y/N: Soon, I guess?

Greyson: Don’t worry guys. I’ll wait until (Y/N) will be ready. I’ll never give up on her.

Samantha: Awww, that’s so sweet!!

Austin wrapped his arm around Cyrene’s shoulder.

Austin: Well, I’ll look forward to that!

Greyson chuckled.

Samantha: Well, I guess we need to go now. We don’t want to you know, ruin your day.

Cyrene: Sam’s right. We’ll go now. Have fun guys!

Y/N: Okay then, take care! Bye!

Austin: Bye guys. Have a great day.

Greyson: Bye!

They already left.

Greyson: So where do you want to go today?

Y/N: Let’s go home.

Greyson: You don’t want to go anywhere? The park, the mall?

Y/N: I don’t want to. Let’s just go home.

Greyson showed you a frown.

Greyson: Don’t you want to be with me?

Y/N: What? Are you crazy? It’s not like that. I just don’t feel going out today.

Greyson gave out a deep sigh.

Y/N: Hey, don’t be so sad about it. At least we’re together.

Finally, he smiled.

Greyson: Okay then. Let’s go, my princess.

You’re sitting comfortly on your sofa with Greyson while waiting for your parents to come home.

He wrapped his arms around you and moved closer to you.

Greyson: You’re the bestest friend in the whole world.

Y/N: You’re weird.

You laughed. It feels so good being wrapped around Greyson’s arms.

He closed his eyes as he rested his chin on your head.

Y/N: Greyson…

Greyson: Yeah?

Y/N: Are you serious about what you said earlier? The part when you said you’ll wait for me until I’m ready?

Greyson: Of course. I’m serious. I’ll wait for you and I’ll never give up on you.

You smiled. O M G.

Y/N: Thanks, Greyson. For everything.

Greyson: You’re always welcome, my princess.

You let out a little laugh.

Y/N: You’re crazy.

Greyson: I am. I’m totally crazy for you.

Y/N: Weird.

Greyson: Gorgeous.

Wow. Is he trying to make my heart explode?

Y/N: Whatever.

Greyson: Well, won’t you reply to that?

Finally, you heard your mom.

Anna: (Y/N), sweetie, we’re home!

Y/N: Ah, they’re home.

Greyson took of his arms around you.

You stood up.

Anna: Hey, sweetie. Sorry, we’re late. A lot of people were in the grocery.

Y/N: You went to the grocery?

John: Uh, yeah. We bought some foods.

Anna: Oh, hey Greyson.

Greyson: Good day, Aunt Anna, Uncle John.

Anna: Good thing you’re here with (Y/N) today.

Greyson: Well, I’m not really busy tonight so I stayed with her.

John: We trust you so much with our daughter, Greyson. I’m so glad she met you.

Greyson smiled widely. Omg, why is dad saying this? This is so awkward.

Greyson: I’m glad I met (Y/N) too. So uh, I guess I’ll be going now.

Anna: Hmm, okay then. Bye Greyson!

Greyson: Bye Aunt Anna, bye Uncle John.

John: Bye Greyson!

Greyson: Good bye, (y/n)

Y/N: Bye Grey.
