Chapter 9 – Dinner With The Chance

You reached home. It’s already 6 pm.

Y/N: Hey mom, dad, I was wondering if you’ll let me eat dinner with Greyson’s family.

Anna: Why?

Y/N: He invited me.

John: Wait, (Y/N), does Greyson like you?

Y/N: What? Dad, no. We’re best friends.

Anna: Okay then. Just go home before 9, okay?

Y/N: Yay! Thanks mom! I will.

Anna: You’re welcome.

You went to Greyson’s house. You rang the doorbell. Gaaah, you’re so nervous! :3

Alexa opened the door.

Alexa: (Y/N)!

Y/N: Oh..hey, Alexa!

Alexa: Greyson told us that he invited you to eat dinner with us tonight.

Y/N: Uh yeah.

Alexa: Come in.

You walked in their house. This isn’t your first time but you’re still fascinated by the pictures that are hung on the walls.

Aunt Lisa: (Y/N), sweetie, is that you?

Y/N: Uh hey, Aunt Lisa! Yes, it’s me, (Y/N), John and Anna’s daughter.

Aunt Lisa: You grew up so much! Greyson’s right, you do look beautiful now.

Y/N: Oh thanks Aunt Lisa.

Uncle Scott: (Y/N), how’s your dad?

Y/N: He’s doing great.

Aunt Lisa: So are you guys already hungry? Dinner’s ready!

{While eating with Greyson’s family}

Aunt Lisa: (Y/N), sweetie, try this one.

Y/N: Oh, sure.

Greyson: Uh I’ll get it for you.

Y/N: Thanks Grey.

Alexa: Uh Greyson, I think there’s something you’re not telling us.

Greyson: Alexa, if that’s what you think, you’re wrong.

Tanner: You know what (Y/N), you’re the first ever girl Greyson brought home to eat dinner with us. You must be special for him.

Greyson: Mom, we have a desert right? Let’s eat it now. Please.

--Fast forward—

You’re done eating with Greyson’s family. The foods are all delicious.

Again, you looked at their pictures in the living room. You don’t know why you’re so fascinated with their pictures. Then Alexa approached you.

Alexa: I know my little brother likes you.

Y/N: Alexa, me and Greyson, we’re just best friends.

Alexa: But do you like him?

Y/N: What? Uh I don’t know.

Alexa: I know you do.

Y/N: Is it obvious?

Alexa: I knew it! Well, kinda I think. I don’t know. I just feel that there’s something between you two.

Y/N: Uh, Alexa. Please don’t tell anyone about what I feel for Greyson.

Alexa: Sure. You can trust me (Y/N).

Then Greyson suddenly came.

Greyson: Excuse me, Alexa, can I borrow (Y/N) for a moment?

Alexa: Sure. Go ahead. I’ll just help mom with the dishes.

Greyson: Okay, thanks.

Alexa: Let’s just talk some other time (Y/N)!

Y/N: Okay then.

Alexa left you and Greyson.

Greyson: So uh do you need to go now?

Y/N: Not really. It’s still a bit early.

Greyson: Come with me.

Y/N: Where?

Greyson: Just follow me.

Y/N: Ohhhkay.

You and Greyson went upstairs. He brought you to his room. It’s a bit big. There are some photographs on the walls.

Greyson: So here’s my room.

Y/N: It’s beautiful.

Greyson: Wait, I have something to give you.

He opened his drawer and get something.

Greyson: Here.

He opened a pink box with a ribbon. It’s an infinity necklace. He placed it around your neck.

Y/N: G-Greyson, what’s this?

Greyson: It’s an infinity sign. It means no end. And our friendship won’t end. I’m so glad to have you in my life (Y/N).

Y/N: Aww, Greyson. Thank you. Not only for this but for everything you have done for me. I’m also glad to have you in my life.

You hugged each other so tight.

You noticed the clock in Greyson’s room. It’s already 8:50 pm.

Y/N: Greyson, I need to go now.

Greyson: Oh, okay.

You and Greyson went down stairs.

Y/N: Aunt Lisa, Uncle Scott, Alexa, Tanner, I’ll go now. Thanks for the dinner tonight.

Aunt Lisa: Okay, take care honey.

Uncle Scott: Visit here again, okay? You’re always welcome here.

Alexa: Talk to you sometime.

Tanner: It was great to see our future sister-in-law.

Greyson: Tanner, stop it.

Tanner: Okay I will!

Y/N: Okay so uh, I’ll be going now. Bye everyone!

Everyone: Bye (Y/N)!

You walked out of their house.

Greyson: (Y/N)!

Y/N: Greyson.

Greyson: Uh I’ll take you home.

Y/N: What? Greyson, our home is like, just 21 rulers away. I think. So you don’t have to take me home.

Greyson: Remember what I told you?  Let me do anything for my princess.

Y/N: Okay, fine. C’mon.

You walked to your house. You’re about to go in but you noticed that Greyson is just standing in front of your house.

Y/N: Aren’t you still going?

Greyson: I should make sure that you’ll come home safe.

Y/N: Go home now.

Greyson: I won’t unless you go in.

Y/N: Okay, fine.

Greyson: Goodnight my princess.

Y/N: Goodnight Greyson.

You walked in and went directly to your room.

This night is amazing. I ate dinner with Greyson’s family and I got to know them more. Also, Greyson gave me this infinity necklace. Does this mean we’re forever? I hope so. ♥
