“Oh, then I should probably give you a warning about my next classes.” Taylor said.

“If you have the same classes as me, I’m going to kill you.” I threatened.

“Don’t worry, there not all the same.” He said and I thanked god silently. “I just don’t have you for my last two classes.”

“Oh! You are so bad!” I said and I couldn’t help but smile.

Taylor laughed and smiled back. The moment was ruined when Sully came between us from the back.

“Watch where you’re going klutz.” She spat at me.

“May I remind you that I was walking forward and you came from the back? Think before you talk you Herpes giver.” I spat back. We had stopped walking and we were facing each other. Taylor stepped in front of us and said, “Hey Sully. What’s up?”

“Hey, Tay. I was wondering if you wanted to hang out after school with me and my friends. I could show you that gun collection I was talking about earlier?” she said.

I was disgusted with both of them that I just turned around and kept walking to the library. But I heard Taylor say quickly, “I wish I could but I have some things to settle. I’ll see you around.”

Taylor was beside me again and I heard Sully say, “Okay, just call me.”

I rolled my eyes at her desperateness.

“Don’t tell me that you guys are fighting over me,” Taylor teased.

“Don’t flatter yourself rock star,” I said. “She and I go way back. She’s always been jealous of me and tries to make my life difficult.”

“What did you do to her?” He asked. He held the library door open for me and I walked inside. We were the last ones to get there. By the time we got our books, the class was on their way back to the classroom.

“I didn’t do anything to her. It’s the stupidest thing ever.” I didn’t want to tell Taylor about my singing talent yet.

“Tell me later, then. When can we talk?” He asked.

I sighed loudly and turned to look at him. “Why don’t you give it a rest? I can’t bear to see you and not be able to touch you. I can’t talk about it without getting all emotional. I don’t want to go back to that black hole I was in when you left. Just save us the time and heart ache and leave already.”

“Is that what you think I’m going to do? That I’m going to leave you again?” He asked fiercely.

“You’ve done it once, what’s stopping you from doing it again?” I countered.

“If I leave, I leave with you. I’ve learned from my mistakes. I can’t live without you.” I snorted when he said that but then I realized that we were the only two persons in the hallway. Shit! We were left behind and now everyone was going to think something was up.

Taylor realized my predicament and said, “Just go in first and then I’ll follow you afterwards.” I nodded and walked in first.

Madrigal hadn’t begun teaching yet. She was looking for her book when Taylor walked in. We sat together but were quiet throughout the whole class. He didn’t even try to make conversation the last minutes of class. I didn’t want to know why he was quiet, but the better part of me got me.

“What class do you have next?” I asked him.

He turned to me and smiled. “I have physics.”

I tried not to sigh loudly. “Of course you do, I wouldn’t be surprise if you didn’t. Who did you pay to give you a similar schedule?”

“Umm…my agent did all the paperwork. I had nothing to do with it.” He said.
