I want to apologize for the lack of updates. I was in a place where I couldn't update.

Shelby

We were on our way to IHOP. I was sitting in the backseat, all alone.

Our conversation was pretty normal, other than the fact that Ross is, well, Ross.

"What if you stuck an egg up your butt?"

I rolled my eyes, but laughed.

"Seriously, Ross?"

"It's a serious question!"

"Okay, then." I said. "Google it."

After silence for 2 minutes, Ross laughed.

"What is it?" Max asked, not taking his eyes off of the road.

"Apparently, if you put and egg in your butt, it boils the egg."

"Whoa whoa whoa whoa. Are you saying that your butt is hot enough to boil an egg?"

"Apparently." Ross replied to Max.

"Geez. Ross please don't test it."

"Imma do it."

"Ross..."

"Fine, I won't do it."

"Good."

"Yet." Ross said quietly, but loud enough for all of us to hear.

We all laughed until we were at IHOP.

Once we parked, I grabbed my crutches and walked out of the car.

We all made it to IHOP at the same time, which is kind of funny.

We sat down; luckily we weren't in a booth this time (even though booths are the best thing on earth).

I was in the middle (even though I had crutches, that didn't stop Max from making me sit in the middle). Ross was on the inside and Max was on the outside.

Across from us were Cory and Tim-Tim.

I started calling Tim that because we were also close.

Well, we were closer than before.

The waitress walked up to us. "Hello, my name is Sally. What would you like to drink?"

Everyone ordered his or her signature drinks.

Tim got Coca~Cola.

Cory got Pepsi.

Ross got Mountain Dew.

I got Lemonade.

And Max got Pepsi.

The waitress left and we started talking again.

Ross started talking. "It turns out, of you ever needed to boil an e-"

"No, Ross!" Max yelled.

Really loud, might I add.

"Not this again!" I said laughing, but slightly annoyed.

"What is it?" Tim asked.

I turned to face him. "You don't even want to know."

"Escape while you still can." Max added, laughing at his 'joke'.

The waitress came back with our drinks. But, now she had red lipstick and a black smoky eye.

"Here are your drinks." She said, smiling at Max.

I grabbed my lemonade and took a sip.

"What would you all like to eat?"

Ross got three vanilla pancakes.

Tim got five pancakes and two slices of bacon.

Cory got toast and eggs.

I got cinnamon french toast.

And Max got a stack of pancakes and a side of eggs.

The waitress smiled and left.

"What was that all about?" Tim asked Max, grinning.

"I have no idea."

***

Eventually our food got to our table.

"Does anyone know when we start work at the offices?" Cory asked.

"I have no idea. But I imagine it's soon." Ross answers.

We ate in a comfortable silence.

We were all hungry, I guess.

Everyone finished his or her food and we started talking again.

"If you were a fish, what colour would you be?" Ross asked.

"I don't know, grey?" I answered.

Everyone agreed.

"Who is the fourth person on your missed calls?" Tim Tim asked.

"Francisco." Cory answered.

"Adam." Ross said.

I looked through my phone.

Whoop-de-do.

Guess who it was?

Tyler.

"Tyler." I said.

"OooooO! Who's this Tyler?" Tim put his head in his hand, acting like a girl.

I would've laughed, but Tyler was mentioned.

"Adam is also the fourth person from my missed calls list." Max said.

I mouthed thank you to him.

He nodded.

The waitress came back with our check.

Ross reached for the check, again, but Max got it this time.

"I have an idea." Max said.

"What?" I asked.

"What if we take turns paying? Like Ross paid first, then me. Then someone else could pay and et cetera."

"That sounds good." Tim responded.

Max looked down at the check. "Oh my God." He said muttering.

"What?" Ross asked.

"She gave me her number."

Cory laughed.

The waitress came back and leaned towards Max.

"You wanna take me out for food?" She asked in a loud whisper.

"Actually, I have a girlfriend."

She looked taken back.

"Really? Where is she then?"

I felt a weight on my shoulders.

"Right here." Max put his arm around my shoulder.

What?

I played along.

"Yeah, we've been going out for 3 months now."

That's when the rest of the boys caught on.

They nodded while the waitress scoffed and walked away.

Max kept his arm on my shoulder.

"Did you see the look on her face?" Max asked the table. [Everyone at the table ',:) ]

"Yeah." Everyone laughed.

"Dude." Tim said, talking to Max.

"Yeah?"

"Your arm is still on her shoulder."

I want to thank all of you for 1K reads! thank you so much. It means a lot to me. ',:)
