"Kendall!" my mom shouted, "You coming for breakfast? I have a special one for my birthday girl!" She finished.

I rolled in my bed. "Thanks mom, I will go in a sec!", I replied.

Wow. It was finally my birthday! Mom had promised she'd give me a laptop all for myself. I was really happy about that, I always had to ask for my older sisters' laptops, but they would rarely agree and I couldn't do much, since they had 'rules' for me to use it. Pathetic, I know. Now I could have my own privacy and I could use it anytime!

I crawled out of bed and slipped on a pair of fluffy slippers -that had been sitting below my bed- and headed downstairs.

"I'm here mom!" I called. My mom appeared from the kitchen and pulled me into a bear hug, I swear I could barely breathe!

"Mom, I...I can't..br-breathe!" I managed to say.

My mom then let me out of her embrace and I let out a sigh.

"Sorry hun", she said with a grin and an apologetic look on her face, "I just love you so much, and I can't believe you are finally 16!" She finished, with a you-are-not-a-kid-anymore-look and I gave a shy smirk.

I then started walking to the kitchen, I liked having breakfast there. Just after I stepped in, I swear I almost had a heart attack! There was a buffet installed in my kitchen, and god it looked delicious.

I continued entering my kitchen, it was like a dream. I know this sounds ridiculous, but it looked amazing.

My favorite breakfasts, all in my kitchen. There were pancakes with chocolate chips on them, they were cooked perfectly, the perfect color, not too light or not too dark.

There was also bacon, cooked perfectly as well. It smelled and looked so tasty.

After the bacon there were some eggs with ham on them, my favorites. And last but not least, tacos. You might think it is a weird thing to eat tacos on the morning but it is completely normal and so delicious. I just stood there and sighed in astonishment. This day couldn't get any better.
