I woke up covered in sweat. I moved the blanket off of me and turned on the lamp. I was trying to catch my breath.

"It was just a dream. It was just a dream," I kept repeating to myself. I looked over to the clock, and it said 1:26. I turned the flashlight on my phone on and went to the bathroom.

I looked at myself in the mirror still repeating the words. "It was just a dream. It's not real. It was just a dream. It's not real." I turned on the water and took a shower. Everytime my eyes would close, I would quickly wipe them and open them.

After my shower, I put on different pajamas, and stepped out of the hotel room. I remembered seeing a window at the end of the hall, so I made my way over there.

Once I got there, I saw Niall sitting down, looking out the window.

"Hey Niall." I walked towards him. "Mind if I sit?"

"No. Not at all." He gave me a smile. "What are you doing up?" He asked me.

"I had a bad dream."

"Oh."

"Ya. How about you?"

"Oh. I just couldn't sleep."

"Oh."

"Would you mind if I asked what the dream was about?"

"Oh no. Not at all. I faintly remember it, but I know the main parts." I shifted my body so I was facing him. "It was about snakes. They were attacking me, and I remember that it started while I was sleeping. A snake came into my bed and moved under the covers. It was terrifying for me."

"You're scared of snakes?" He asked.

"Terrified. I actually remember, back in kindergarten, my teacher brought in her pet snake. I went up to pet it, and I was fine. I didn't mind snakes then. It was some time after that when I became scared. I don't know how it started though."

"Oh. Sorry to hear that. It's hard to be scared of something. Especially when it's something real in life."

"Ya, but I mean, it's just how life works." I smiled at him.

"I guess so," he said.

We spent some time telling each other stories of our past. Next thing we knew, it was three in the morning and we were laughing as if we were drunk.

"You are one crazy boy," I said.

"Why thank you." I looked at Niall for a minute.

"I'm glad I have you as a friend," I said. "I feel that it's good to have at least one girl friend, and one guy friend that you can trust."

"I'm happy that you can trust me." We both smiled.

I looked out the window and the view was beautiful. There were lights on in every building.

"New York really is beautiful," I said.

"Would you ever live here?" Niall asked.

"No. I couldn't. It's hard enough dealing with traffic for one weekend, imagine everyday. Plus, I don't do huge crowds on a daily bases." He nodded at my response.

"Hey. I've been meaning to ask you. Why are you wearing a sweatshirt and shorts?" I laughed.

"Oh. It's because I'm cold on top, but hot on the bottom." He was laughing with me now.

"What does you're sweatshirt say?"

"I'm feisty if you wake me." We stayed there laughing for some time, then we stared out the window again.

Niall let out a yawn. "I think my body's finally tired." We both laughed.

"Ya. I think I should get to bed too." We both stood up and walked slowly back to our rooms.

"I like those slippers you have on. Are they knitted?" He asked. I let out a laugh.

"Niall. Every clothing is knitted." He joined in my laughter.

"Wait. That's not what I meant."

"I know what you meant. And yes, I made them." I was wearing knitted boot like slippers.

"That's really neat."

"Neat?" I looked at him and raised an eyebrow.

"Yes. Neat." He let out a laugh and I joined him.

We arrived back at our hotel rooms, and we finally stopped laughing.

"Goodnight Niall." I gave him a hug.

"Goodnight Maria." I turned to open the door when Niall called for me. "Hey Maria. If you'd like, you can sleep in my room tonight. I know it's hard to come back from a nightmare and have to stay in the same bed. I'm pretty sure Harry would be fine with you sleeping with him."

"Sure, ok. It's also good because I forgot my room key." I smiled at Niall and we both laughed.

He opened his room door and turned on a lamp. I gave him one more hug goodnight before walking over to Harry's bed. I knelt down and stared at him for a little bit. He's so cute when he's asleep. I feel bad for having to wake him up.

"Harry," I whispered to him while shaking his shoulder. "Harry. Harry wake up." He opened one eye. "Harry. I had a bad dream. Can I sleep with you tonight?"

He nodded his head and made room, opening up the blanket for me. I climbed onto the bed and Harry pulled the blanket over me. Harry wrapped his arm around my waist and kissed the back of my head.

"You're safe now. I won't let anything happen to you," he whispered into my ear. I smiled and closed my eyes, feeling safe in Harry's arms.

(Hello. Quick little note. I'm sorry that my posts have been wacky. I usually just post whenever I'm able to, that's why I have chapters posted at like 12 a.m., and some at 2 p.m. I'm sorry about this, but hey, at least I'm posting. Have a goodnight everyone. Love you. :)
