Chapter Ten - Meeting His Family and Marriage Proposal

It' s Monday.

Maayos naman ang tulog niya at maganda rin naman ang gising niya. At least ngayon nabawasan na ang aalalahanin niya.

Nasa opisina na siya ngayon. Wala pa ang amo niya dahil napaaga siya ng dating.

Tinignan na muna niya mga dapat niyang gawin at kung anu-ano pa.

Mamaya-maya, bumukas ang elevator and she was greeted by her gorgeous boss. He never fails to amuse her with his looks. Gwapong-gwapo ito sa suot nitong business suit na kulay abo.

"Good morning, Sir." bati niya rito.

"In my office." he said seriously. He's now back to that bossy voice. AGAIN. So, she had no choice but to follow him.

"Have a seat." naupo siya. "You see, we have this agreement to help you out with your family and help me out with mine. The reason I called you here is..we need to start now." nanlaki mga mata niya.

"N...now?" nanlulumo siya. Hindi siya prepared!

"Yes, now. My parents wants to meet you."

"Why so sudden?"

"Because they'll make me marry the daughter of my dad's bestfriend. That's why." tila naiinis na sabi nito.

"And we'll meet them today?"

"Yup, sweetheart. Especifically, this noon. Lunch." siguro kikiligin siya sa endearment nito sa kanya pero wala siya ngayon sa oras para kiligin.

Lumaki mga mata niya. "What? I'm not prepared!"

"Why do you need to prepare?" taas kilay na tanng nito.

Tumayo siya, "Look on what I'm wearing." exag na sabi niya. Honestly, she never cared about her apperance before until this conversation happens.

"You don't need to worry. You look fine. Besides, they'll expect us to wear a company suit. Nagtratrabaho tayo e." cool na sabi nito habang sya at ito, malapit ng mahimatay.

Napansin siguro nito iyon, "Hey, Toni. You look tense."

"Who wouldn't?! It would be my first time!" bulyaw niya dito.

He chuckled. "Just go with the flow. Don't worry. Nandoon naman ako para alalayan ka. Besides, kilala mo na rin naman sila di ba?"

She camed herself. "Yes but it would be different now, You'll introduce me as your girlfriend!"

Nagkibit-balikat ito. "I don't see anything wrong with that."

"And if they ask about how did we become a couple, what will you say?"

"We'll cross the bridge when we get there." cool na sabi nito. tila bale-wala lang dito iyon. Samantalang siya at hito't mamamatay na yata sa kaba.

Oh noes! Nagkamali ba siya ng desisyon?!

"Let's go?" tanong nito sa kanya. Pinagbuksan sya nito ng pinto. Nasa parking lot sila ng isang restaurant  na di naman kalayuan sa opisina nila.

She accepted his hand.

He smiled at her sweetly. Hinalikan pa nito ang pisngi niya at pasekretong bumulong, "Let's be sweet. Nasa loob na sina mommy."
