3 new chapters because I know I've been shit lately...leaving cliff hangers and shit. Lol.

"How's the first day for you?"

I lifted my head from my desk and smiled at Mimi, one of my new colleagues. "It was fine. Good actually."

Her small eyes seemed to disappear when her plump lips broadened into a bigger smile. She was so cute and pretty. "Glad you're liking it here. The atmosphere is not that lively but people are nice," she told me as she sat on my desk. "They always look serious, though. But it's just because of the deadlines."

I nodded and shut my computer down. "I noticed that," I chuckled. The environment of a publishing house was so different compared from retail. With my recent job, my friends and I could fool around during work hours especially if there weren't shoppers around. But here, there were loads of paper works and deadlines to catch.

My new job required more attention. I had to carefully check the newly submitted manuscripts if it followed the right format before I give it to the editorial managers who would edit them thoroughly. Also, I had to answer calls and emails from authors who were interested in submitting their manuscripts. They had a lot of questions, especially those who were not knowledgeable enough about how the e-book publishing works.

Overall, everything was extremely new to me but I could handle it so far. My colleagues weren't that chatty and cheerful with the exemption of Mimi. I was so glad that her desk was just next to mine.

"Where do you live?" Mimi asked as we both head out of the office.

"Brooklyn. You?"

"Soho," she replied, grabbing my wrist and dragging me inside the elevator. I swear people in this city were fast as hell, like they were always in a hurry. "So you're taking the subway?"

"Uh, no. Someone's picking me up," I smiled.

She raised a brow and held a grin. "You're blushing. Boyfie will pick you up, am I right?"

I just smiled again and nodded my head, feeling the heat on my cheeks.

"We should have some coffee sometime," Mimi told me, linking her arm to mine. "When your boy is not around. I badly need a friend, everyone else in the office is either too old or too serious to understand me."

I giggled as we made our way out of the elevator. I could understand her point. She was too bubbly for our office, and I noticed that she gets bored easily. She talked to me the whole day but I didn't get annoyed because she's funny and sweet. She's like a combination of Marty and Leslie.

"Let's do that tomorrow," I suggested, making her beam in delight. We went out of the building together and the very busy road of Broadway overwhelmed me. Maybe I would get used to it soon.

When my eyes landed on my left, I immediately saw Harry who was sitting on his Bentley's hood, his attention focused on his phone. A pair of sunglasses was shoved over his head and some of his hair were falling graciously to his face. His blue shirt and skinny jeans fit perfectly on him as always.

He seemed to feel my presence. He lifted his head, his face widening to a smile when he saw me.

Mimi suddenly pinched my arm. "Please tell me he's not your boyfriend or I will seriously hate how fucking lucky you are," she said dreamily, her eyes totally admiring Harry.

I should feel jealous but surprisingly, I didn't. I couldn't blame her for feeling that way because honestly, Harry could still take my breath away.

"Hi, angel," Harry smiled at me, then gave my cheek a soft kiss before wrapping his arms around my waist. "How's your day?"

"It was great," I replied, the heat in my face rushing back again. "Uh, babe, she's Mimi, my officemate. Mimi, he's Harry."
