And think.

When I entered the cottage, Zayn was in the kitchen drinking a glass of water. I badly needed that too.

"You okay?" Zayn asked when I opened the fridge. "You're a bit pale."

"I'm fine. Just a migraine." I grabbed a pitcher and poured some water into my glass, but my hands were still shaking.

"Let me," he volunteered, taking the pitcher from my hands. "Do you need an Advil? I have one."

I drank the water fast. "No, it's okay. I'll just lie down for awhile."

He just nodded and stared at me quietly. "Alright. Have a rest, Jade. We'll wake you up for lunch."

"Thanks," I smiled before heading to my room. I lay down right away, my mind still restless.

Everything felt so weird and eerie now. I mean, was Hunter following Harry since last night? Was he here already and watching our every move? How? How did he manage to be invisible the entire time?

And if he just really wanted to know why Harry ditched his work, then why did he bother to show himself to me? For what? I knew that he was trying to tell me something, trying to send a message.

Hunter showing himself to me was like a freaking warning. That's how it felt. He was warning me that he would find me wherever I go the moment I decided to spill the dirt to someone else.

The door opened and I bolted from bed immediately, my chest beating loud.

"Hey," Harry said, looking at me with confused eyes. "Are you okay?"

"Yes," I mumbled, placing a hand over my heart. Jesus. Because of Hunter, I got so jumpy and nervous now.

He sat on the bed and studied me closely. "What's wrong?"

"Nothing."

"You almost jumped from bed when I entered. Did I interrupt something?"

I shook my head. "I was just surprised when you came in," I smiled. I didn't want to tell him that I met Hunter. I didn't want to worry him, he's already dealing with a lot of things.

"Marty told me that you're not feeling good. Do you want to go home? We can stop in the hospital."

"I'm fine, there's no need for the hospital, Harry. Just a small headache. It'll be gone after a few minutes."

He climbed on the bed and sat beside me. "Lie down and nap."

I did what he said. He lay beside me and let my head rest on his chest.

"Harry?"

"Angel?"

"I want to ask you something," I muttered, feeling his fingers playing with my hair.

"What is it?"

I licked my lips first. "Uh...what will...what will happen once Hunter knows about us? About me?"

I didn't look up at him because my head was too comfortable on his chest, but I felt it when his muscles tensed.

"Why are you asking?"

"I'm just curious. Is he going to hurt me?"

"No. Unless you tell anyone about his business," he answered sternly.

"So he won't do anything to me as long as I keep my mouth shut?"

"He'll watch your every move and keep you close. For him, anyone who knows the secret is one of us. He'll tell you that you're a friend now but he would keep an eye on you. He'll welcome you into our world but he won't trust you. And I don't like it. I don't like the idea of someone following you like a fucking creep. And I don't want you to be fully exposed in our world."
