"Wake up Chloe!" A voice nudged me out of my dreams and I groaned in response "come on you're gonna be late! It's already 7:30. Thirty more minutes and your dad's leaving without you."

With that I jolted up awake and ran to the bathroom with my mum's laughter fading in the background. After a few minutes (which definitely did not reach thirty), I finally descended downstairs with my hair wet. I grabbed a granola bar and headed out at the same time my dad stood up from the table.

"Bye mum see you." I waved just as dad and her started snogging on the doorway

I slammed the car door shut and plugged in my earbuds. A few minutes later dad entered the driver's seat with a goofy smile planted on his face. I stared at him with my eyebrow raised and he just stared at me back still having the scary smile on his face

"What?"

I rolled my eyes and turned my attention on the road ahead of me "Crazy in love people." I muttered which earned me a laugh from my dad

----

During lunch time, I was hanging out in my usual spot in the library when Grey suddenly came up to me and plopped down beside me holding The Hunger Games on his right hand.

I was quite surprised that he acknowledged me today since we haven't really talked all weekend. I was just in my room reading and doing some chores if I had to.

"Hey listen, I was wondering about the usual hang out the we have after school." He blurted out and I rolled my eyes

"Well hello to you too." I mumbled, hesitant if I should even be talking to him right now

"Hi. Now can I cancel for today because Jennifer and I are planning to go somewhere after school so I couldn't go to your house later. Are you okay with that?" He asked with a hopeful look on his face

"Do I even have a choice?" I mumbled under my breath so that he wouldn't hear and I let out an exaggerated sigh "Yeah sure. Have fun." I said with no emotion at all

"Nice. Thanks Chlow. See you later. Or tomorrow or whatever." He laughed before finally leaving the library

I groaned right after I saw his retreating figure disappear and slammed my head on top of the book which was on the table.

"Did you hear?" My head snapped up when I heard a voice beside me along with dragging chair sounds

"Hear what?" I asked, facing Lily and Trixie who just sat in front of me

Trixie squealed in delight "There's actually a new student in town." She sighed dreamily and I rolled my eyes

"A new student? In the middle of the school year?"

"Uhuh. They were guessing that he was an exchange student but he's a local so we crossed that out of the possibilities." Lily explained "Nobody know if he's starting today or tomorrow but everybody seems excited."

"I don't get you people. You gush over some stupid new student that haven't even seen yet." I groaned

"I heard he's hot." Trixie giggled

"Oh great. He's a he. Figures" it's not like the people who gush over him actually have a chance with him. Be realistic people.

"Whoops it will be time in five minutes. We better get going. It's my Math next." Lily sighed but a few seconds later her faced perked up again "I wish he'll be in my Math class! We have a spare seat anyway."
