Ben kind of hated himself for it, but he didn't tell Rey about his nightmares and visions. The deep voice in his mind was a constant now, and Ben sometimes found himself listening to it.
'You deserve so much more than this....Ben.' the voice would whisper.
He sometimes agreed with this voice.
'Join me! Join the dark side! ' the voice rasped. 'The way of the Jedi forbids the love, power, and glory that you desire ', it continued.
Ben grunted in agreement at that.
"What's that?" Rey asked at the sound, turning her head to look at Ben curiously.
Ben shook his head.
'So many secrets to keep. I hate this. ' Ben thought.
'Why keep them then? ' the voice said, responding to Ben's thoughts.
For the first time in a long time, Ben wanted to die.
