qotd : If you were a wolf, what color would you be?

He pounced in his brown and grey wolf mid air. Fine. If it was a wolf fight he wanted, he sure as hell was going to get one. I needed to get off a little steam anyways.

I snarled and forced my bones to glide into place. I stood in my pure white wolf. I glared at him and a ferocious snarl left my lips. He reiterated the sound.

He came right at me, his teeth bared. I sidestepped and watched him as he came back for me. This guy was strong headed and probably strong in general as well. This oughtta be fun.

He headbutted me into the ground, causing my skull to throb. Oh you are going to regret that.

He was on top of me snapping at my neck, but instead of pushing him off, I clamped my jaws on his paw and kept going. He was howling and whimpering in pain.  I threw him off me and he landed in the snow, blood dripping down his fore-paw.

He got up with a snarl. He came at me again, but was stopped by a huge hulking black wolf that appeared in front of me. They each tumbled for a second or two before they stood up with their heads held up high. I snorted to myself. Tyler.

I sat down and licked at my paw to show I was fine. The man who was Whitesnouts mate was bowing to the Alpha who was probably giving him hell in his mind link. I was starting to feel a foreign emotion. Guilt. This all could have been avoided. Then again, so could Connor have been thrown out the window.

I glanced up to see the wolf bowing to Tyler glaring at me. I just stared at him, too appalled by my own emotion to say anything. The pack member was dismissed before Tyler came walking over to me in his wolf. I said nothing as I  glared at the ground.

[What were you doing out here?] He demanded in our link. [Oh I'm sure he told you.] I hissed back and started to trot back home.  I didn't question his mind link, for it was an Alpha thing.

Wait . . . did I just say 'home'? Ew no. I needed to get out of here.

[Don't you dare walk away from me.] He snarled. I rolled my eyes.

[Then come WITH ME you idiot.] I replied and nearly laughed considering this was an easy solution. I could feel his frustration seep when he heard I wanted his company. He walked by my side as we said nothing to each other.

I didn't know what to say. He still doesn't believe me over his Beta, Jared. Connor is hurt. And right now, my wolf is going crazy because of our close proximity. I haven't even noticed but our fur was inches away from brushing. I wanted them to touch. So badly. To touch him and feel his silky fur against mine. I shook my head, remembering he refused to believe me.

Damn this mating thing. It proved harder to ignore each day.

[For one as rowdy as you, you're being awfully quiet.] Tyler said in the link. I huffed out.

[Sometimes, even Rogues do not wish to speak.] I muttered in the link.

[What are you thinking about?] he asked. Oh please, Did he really have to ask.

[The fact you don't believe me although the proof is all over my neck. How do you not smell him on me?] I hissed and came to a stop.

[Jared and Connor are brothers. Their scent is the same. They're each strong scents Raven. But I know my Beta-]

[I hope you enjoy this. I do. You haven't even questioned Jared have you? You are so blind as to what is in front of you. I clearly have to allow him to hurt me everyday, the least you could do is try and see.] I felt anger pooling into my body again.

[Alright. I'll talk to him.] He said, and laid his wolfy head on the snow as it rested in front of his palms. I rolled my eyes and sat down, not wanting to lay. Talking to him won't be enough. I already knew that, but I also knew that this was something I had to do on my own. Because if I did, I wouldn't get back up.

Tyler watched me as I sat up and stared at him. He then stood up and trotted towards me.

[Give me your neck.] He said. If he wanted to mark me, I wasn't ready.

[I'm not going to mark you. I can make his feel better fast] he replied. I didn't ask who "his" was. Feeling skeptical, I moved my head to the side and watched from the corner of my green eyes as he neared my neck licked it. I froze as shivers ran up my spine and through my body.

What was this feeling? Why did I feel like I wanted to crawl into his arms? What was he doing to me?

He stopped and backed up a little. My neck didn't feel so stiff anymore.

[Thanks] I mumbled. He nodded and we walked back in an awkward silence.

Thoughts?
