Hi guys

Raven's POV***

I kept my ears perked and my senes on high alert. For all I knew, this could be a trap. It was foolish to say that I was leading him to my room, alone with me. However it's best to not get others involved and hurt. I'd rather be the hurt rather a packmate that I've sworn to protect.

As I took a cautious step up the stairs, I kept my movements swift, and my muscles ready in case anything happened. However, I doubt Craig would've allowed Damon to waltz into our camp so easily, so I had to ask the question. Why is he here? At the top, I glanced behind me to see him smirking.

"What?" I growled.

"I'm just finding it comical because you think I'm going to attack you," He replied with a cheeky sigh. I narrowed my eyes at him. Is this how cinical and cocky I used to be? I mean, I'm sure I still am, but was I this bad at one point? I shook my head free of my thoughts as we walked into the hallway.

"How should I know? I mean, it's not like I was almost forced into marrying you or anything," I scoffed. At that, he chuckled, making me roll my eyes.

"About that," He said as I reached for the door leading to my room, but I paused.

"I am sorry, Raven," He said, his jaw tightening. I narrowed my eyes, studying his blue ones. He had a slight aftershave and dark circles under his eyes. His hair was still in a quiff and I couldn't deny the fact that he still hadn't lost his manly charm. His eyes seemed to be holding no sign of lying. I knew when someone was lying. Afterall, I was pretty good at it for a time.

I say nothing, but merely turn around and open the door, allowing ourselves in. He sighed deeply, walking in before I closed it behind us. I glanced at the bed, feeling my wolf yearn for Tyler's return. It seemed like it was taking forever.

"Ahem," He cleared his throat. I snapped my head towards him.

"Okay. Why are you here?" I question, leaning against the door.

"My mate is here," He said, stoutly turning around to face me, hands in his pockets.

My eyes widened in shock. Well, that was a short explanation.

"And you couldn't have maybe called your brother or anything? You've been incogneto for a month since what happened, and all the sudden you just show up," I growl, narrowing my eyes. He simply ignored me, wandering around the room like a lost puppy. He would occasionally pause nonchalantly.

Growing annoyed after minutes of him simply walking around, I lightly growled in my throat.

"Who's the lucky girl that got stuck with your lousy ass?"

"That's for me to know, and for you to find out," He said, his back turned to me, but I could almost hear the smile on his face. He turned around, looking around the room, then underneath the bed.

"Kinky Caress?" He asked with a smirk and a wink. Immediately my face grew red.

"That is none of your business," I simmered.

"Yeah yeah," He said, putting his arms up in defense.

"Again, why are you here? Why now?" I challenged.

"Well again, I told you my mate is here. And what, I can't pay my little brother and his mate a visit?" He asked with a pouty face. Oh I'd love to claw that off.

"I'm about this close," I squeezed my fingers together, "to ripping out your spleen."

"Okay, okay. I want to be on the Hero team, and help our race, and all for the good of life."

Now I was confused.  I gaped at him, not sure of what to say.

"Close your mouth, you'll catch flies," He said. Annoyed, I clamped my mouth.

"I heard about your plan to get Alpha Brent's daughter here. He wants her so you guys got to her first. I assume he wants her and possibly you now?"

"Before I tell you anything, why should I say anything at all? You watched them hurt him." I whispered, starting to feel vulnerable.

"I had to," He replied, realizing I was talking about Tyler.

"You had to? You had to watch your father and my brother call forth the punishment they inflicted on him?" My voice was starting to raise as I realized just how angry and resentful I was feeling.

"Raven - I had to! They were going to kill Seraphina if I didn't!"

"So you knew her? Before?"

"Yes," He replied.

"What was offered to you to marry me?"

"Well, Brent told our father he'd gain lots of power and wealth. So, if I didn't he was going to kill Seraphina. I tried everything I could, but I gave up at one point." He hung his head low.

"What do they want with Ro now?"

"My guess is as good as yours. Reunite your family. Why? I'm not sure. Kate has witchy powers, her daughter is a vampire, and your brother is basically King of the Nightwalkers-"

"Nightwalkers?"

"The wolves that can now turn whenever. Anyway, the whole family is now royale. But, that leaves you." He said.

"What about me?"

"Well, what kind of power do you hold? I mean  sure, females are supposed to rule in the Blood Moon pack, yet that still didn't bother your brother. The wolves are loyal to him. I just know he isn't quite finished with you, and his plan isn't all complete."

I sighed, slumping against the door. I knew Brent wasn't done with me. But a girl can hope, right? It still didn't seem quite right that Damon was here. Yes, his mate was in my pack, but why didn't he come to get her before? Surely he could have tried? Why now? Yes, Preston wasn't allowing him to see her, but there had to be another reason.

"And, there's one more thing," Damon started but suddenly a door was slammed against the wall. Shocked, a scent began to send tremors down my spine, making my wolf growl in pleasure. I didn't need to know who it was, because before I could turn, my body was being pressed against a warm chest, that brought back the comfort I'd been without.

"You're home," I whimper into Tyler's chest. His arms wrap around me and I only want his lips on mine, but can't forget we have company.

"I'm home," His deep voice replied. I pulled back, staring at his beautiful face.

"And I see I'm not the only who's back," He suddenly growled, whilst wrapping a protective arm around my waist and glaring at his brother.

I felt a shrill growl echo through me in frustration. I wanted my mate! I wanted to kiss him, touch him, talk to him. But we couldn't because this fucktard of a brother was here! Why do brothers ruin everything?

"Where's Ro?" Damon suddenly asked.

"She's here, and safe."

I looked up at Tyler. He didn't seem as shocked that his brother was here. Was it possible that he knew he was coming?

"I'd love to meet her," Damon smirked.

"Fuck you," I growled at him.

"We need to talk," Tyler growled.

"Oh perhaps we do. But first, you promised me something," Damon smirked, folding his arms.

"What?" I asked, completely confused. My eyes zoomed between Tyler and Damon in confusion.

"Fine. Outside."

[They're going to spar in their wolves] My wolf suddenly chimed in.
