qotd : English or Math?

I sat on the couch, watching nothing but Toddlers and Tiaras.

"How the hell do you watch that?" Connor shouted from afar. I laughed. I met Connor while I was exploring the pack house earlier today, and challenged him to a game of Mario Kart. Oh and I won by the way.

I'd grown to like him. We had a lot in common and he was like an older brother to me. We could crack nasty jokes at eachother and keep laughing no matter what was said.

"Human toddlers are just so . . . I don't even know. Plus their moms are crazy!" I retorted as I watched a girl pop up with a glitzy pink dress.

"It just ain't right." Connor replied while rubbing his blond hair. I learned he was the brother of Tyler's beta, Jared, and was third in command.

I chuckled and noted it was getting darker. Through the door burst a couple guys and that sexy man child known as my mate and their Alpha. He seemed as if he was thinking about something. His eyes never left the ground, but after a second they found mine. Studying him, I wondered what he was thinking about.

He didn't seem angry. Just plain out confused. He scanned over my face plenty of times as if something wasn't right. I raised my eye brows. I was about to ask him what he was doing but he was greeted by some other male wolves.

"Alpha, we have news from the bordering pack." A guy named Jared said before his eyes scanned on me. They stayed on me a little longer than I would have liked, making me feel oddly uncomfortable. A small part of me felt disappointed that Tyler didn't say anything or growl at him possessively. I frowned at myself, feeling like I was being way too needy.

Did he finally realize I wasn't worth his time?

I forced my eyes away from his blue ones and stared at the screen. No longer did the prissy little girls and crazy mothers on the TV interest me. Instead, I turned off the TV and traveled upstairs, feeling awkward.

Each step I felt my wolf stir.

[What's wrong?] I asked her.

[Something is off.] She replied.

[Yeah, I feel it too. What was up with Tyler?] I asked her. I felt her sigh in annoyance. [I don't know and I hate that he might know something that we don't. Right now, I feel like  . . .  something is waiting us.] My wolf replied.

[ I feel distracted. Maybe we-] At my last words, I entered the door, only to be warned by my wolf. I sidestepped as the door came slamming behind me.

I glanced up to see the Beta, Jared. "Er . . . hi?" I said with a forced smile. Ugh, what did douche-face Beta want? His eyes greedily scanned my body, making me feel uncomfortable.

"It's come to my attention that . . . well . . . you are unmarked." He said, a smirk tugging at his lips. I sighed dramatically.

"Because I belong to no one," I retorted. His smile stayed and he started to growl lowly. I had heard it before. It was a male growl that showed he was showing what was his. I backed up against the door, wanting to put as much space as I could between me and him.

"Doll-face . . . well, Raggedy Anne more like, quit the tough guy act."  I snapped. He stepped forward and stood my ground. I was a famous rogue beeyotch. Try and take me.

All my confidence faded once he grabbed my wrist. My body went weak at once.  What . . ? What could have been doing that to me? I had no time to think about it as I was pushed onto the bed. I tried to even shift into my wolf, but I couldn't force my bones to shift. I was way too weak and tired. I tried to squirm, but my limbs felt like noodles.
