{Destiny's POV}

We were waiting in the track and we were all anxious. Mainly me, because Clayton kept staring at me whenever he had the chance. He tried sneaking in a few kisses here and there, but I hit him where 'the sun doesn't shine' whenever he tried.

"Sweet ride, Big D!" Leo praised Davenport, who was nodding with a smile. "For a second there I forgot you weren't cool." Davenport glared at Leo.

"Yeah, a guy with a huge ego and a sport and where they put your name and face on everything. It's a perfect match." Bree smiled and got me to chuckle a bit.

"Look, are you sure you're able to beat Pierce? You have no stock car experience, and not to mention, you get car sick going to the store--You know what, now I mention it, I'm screwed." I started with a worried voice and then I ended up in a scared voice. I started running my hands through my hair, and Bree hugged me.

"Driving in a circle gets exponentially harder at 200 miles per hour." Chase informed Davenport.

"Plus, no bathroom breaks. You're gonna need this." Adam pulled out a huge bucket and I stopped running my hands through my hair.

"Look, guys, don't worry about me." Davenport said while I squeaked in disapproval. "Destiny, I have spent hundreds of hours training in a stock car simulator, I hired the best pit crew in town...I got this. Destiny, you don't have to worry about marrying Clayton." Davenport told towards me as he shook my shoulders.

"We just wanted to wish you luck." Pierce told Davenport as he and Clayton walked up towards us.

"You'll need it when you go against our driver." Clayton and Pierce laughed before I stood up.

"Driver?" I asked before I stepped behind Davenport to hide from Clayton's stare.

"Yeah. I said we'd race; I never said I'd be the one driving." He chuckled before turning away from us. "Joey!" A guy climbed out of the Harrington's car and he smiled at Pierce.

"That's your driver? When does he get his learner's permit?" Davenport laughed until my mind clicked.

"I've seen that guy before! His name is Joey Logano." I told Davenport and Chase, who I was in between at the moment.

"He's been racing since he was six! He's the youngest NASCAR driver to win on the pro circuit, ever." Chase told us, since he probably used his super intelligence to figure out who Joey was.

"Oh..." Davenport gulped.

"We're gonna need a bigger bucket." Adam handed the bucket towards Davenport, who nodded and we all gulped.

"I am so screwed now, right?" I said towards Davenport, who nodded gravely.

I bit my fingernails in worry as I paced around in our pit. I finally sat down and went into a fetal position.

"I can't believe Big D has to race against Joey Logano." Leo said and I quickly stood up.

"Not helping my situation, Dootey!" I quickly apologized and started to pace around again.

"Destiny, Destiny, calm down." Davenport stopped me form pacing around. "I can win this. Didn't you forget I hired the best pit crew in town. Right, Pit Guy #1." Davenport told everyone and then pointed at a guy who was working on Davenport's tires.

"Right, nothing motivates a team like a leader who doesn't even know your name. Best team ever. Makes me so confident." I rolled my eyes and continued pacing around. "Look, I'm sorry for my attitude, but I just don't wanna be the step daughter of Mr. Crap-Jerk, and be Mr. Crap-Jerk's son's wife." I apologized after I sigh. They all nodded and patted my shoulders.
