The Cove

TOOTHLESS'S POV

This isnt a dream.....

You have your lover back......

And she isnt leaving......

I was bursting with joy.

I carried my angel as we made our way into the cove.

"Hey, (Y/N)......"

"Hmm?"

"C-can we stay here...... for the night? I want to be alone with you..... to enjoy our time together....."

She giggled and kissed my cheek.

"Of course dummy!"

I sat down against our tree and she cuddled up next to me and lay her head on my chest.

"How are you alive...... I saw you die......."

"I dont know............ I just woke up in the dream forest...... and...... spent the whole week there with you....."

We watched the water glisten in the moonlight.......

"I miss doing this...... listening to your heart........."

"You dont know how much pain I was in when I knew you were gone forever.............. "

"You wouldnt let me die for you, but I cant stand seeing you in pain...... so I did it........"

I stared on.

I remembered seeing her fall right in front of me.

I remember getting my revenge.

I remember the massive hole in my heart when she left.........

I remember all those things that made me go mad.......

"Care to dance?" I asked.

"Sure!"

I lifted her up and brought her over to the side of the lake.

She put her hand on my shoulder and I put mine around her waist.

We danced in the moonlight, the faint music from the party could still be heard.

Then, the floating lights began to dance around us.

"Oh! The fireflies....... they're here......"

"Right........"

"They look like they're dancing around us...... "

"Y-yea........"

"Toothless? Are you okay?"

"No....."

"Why?"

"I h-h-have...... something t-to..... a-ask you....."

"Yes?"

I carried her and she lay on me lovingly.

"Will.... y-you.... be my..... official girlfriend?"

"Yes! OF COURSE!!"

She giggled and rest her head on me.

I kissed her head and lay her down on the grass.

Hmm......... lilies.......

I sat next to her but she pushed me down.

"C'mon,..... lie down...."

We looked up at the stars.

"Can we stay like this forever?"

"Maybe......."

We stayed in that pose until I started to doze off.

This feels like a dream.

But it isnt.
