"Wow. You two looked like lovers." Someone said at awtomatikong nagawi kami ni Zach ng lingon sa likuran.
"Kevin? What the hell are you doing here?" Gulat kong tanong.
Suddenly, my heart started beating fast, probably from fear.
He was only staring at me, as if I've done such a grave mistake. It sent shivers down my spine.
"Oh, do we?" Zach confidently asked Kevin, as if he knew him.
Maybe he does.
Maybe he doesn't.
They're all liars so anything is possible.
Humakbang si Kevin palapit. I stiffened. Humakbang pa siya ng humakbang hanggang sa sobrang lapit na niya saakin.
"Yes, and it angers the hell out of me." Kevin stated with his cold tone.
As usual.
"Bagay raw tayo, Agatha." Nangingiting sambit ni Zach. Gusto ko sanang tumawa ngunit masama talaga ang tingin ni Kevin saamin.
Is he jealous?
Wow, my plan worked.
He really is under my sleeves now.
I cannot blow the plan, Zachery is just a pawn anyway.
"Stop spitting shit, Zach. We'll go ahead. Goodbye." Malamig kong sambit at hinawakan sa kamay si Kevin.
"Why did you held his hand?" Pahabol na tanong ni Zach. I stopped walking.
"Because I'm his queen. That's why." Sambit ko.
"But I thought you don't have a king?" Tanong niya pa rin. Tumango ako kahit na nakatalikod.
"I don't, but he is the King. It's a different narrative." I said and walked away, still holding Kevin's hand.
Naramdaman ko naman ang tahimik niyang pagsunod. Sumakay na kami ng kotse at nagtungo sa tinutuluyan ko dito.
"What are you doing here, Kevin?" I asked him. Palinga-linga lamang ako sakanya dahil nagd-drive ako.
"You held my hand." He said.
"Yes, but that doesn't answer my question."
"I missed you. You made me worried so much. Damn I missed your scent." He said as he paved the distance between us.
Marahas kong niliko ang kotse upang tumigil siya. Nakuha naman niya ang nais kong mangyari. So he distanced himself.
"Can I ask you something?" Sambit ko.
Nakahinto pa rin ang kotse. Tumango naman siya.
"Why do you kept lurking around me but can't tell the truth?" Tanong ko sakanya.
"Why can't you just be honest?" Habol ko.
"Because you'll leave me if I did."
Hindi ako makapaniwalang natawa sa sinabi niya.
"Let me correct you, Kevin. You will have to leave if you did become honest. You entered my life. Not the other way around." Sambit ko, as a matter of fact.
Tumango naman siya saakin at tumingin sa labas.
"Hindi mo ba naisip, once I get tired of this circus, I'll eventually leave and give it up."
"Both option leads to us parting ways, anyway. Which do you think has more opportunities of being with you? The choice I picked today is, don't you think?" Tanong niya saakin. Nakatingin pa rin sa labas.
