"Shouldn't he be back by now...?" Rapunzel asked, worried. Hiccup looked at her, then glanced at Merida. "She's right. Jack should've gotten back by now." He said. He stood up, walking over to Toothless.
"What are ye doin?" Merida asked as he mounted the dragon.
"I'm going after Jack." Hiccup said firmly. "He could be in trouble. Stay and keep an eye on Rapunzel, please."
"No! I am tired of being ordered around!" Merida raged. "I'm not letting you go alone!"
"Then what about Rapunzel?" Hiccup retorted. "Are you gonna leave her alone?!" Merida stopped. "We already lost Flynn. I don't want to lose another friend." Hiccup said. Toothless flew up into the air, and flew in the direction that Jack had flown off to.
"HICCUP!!" Merida shouted. "Ugh! That little-" she cursed loudly. "Don't wanna lose another friend?! You think I want to?!" She yelled.
"What did he mean, lost Flynn?" Rapunzel asked. "He's not dead, is he?"
Merida looked at her. "No, but he's gonna wish he was..." She said. "Pitch got him. I don't even wanna think about what he could be doing to the lad."
"PITCH got him?!" Rapunzel cried. "You couldn't have mentioned this earlier?!"
"There is nothing we can do about it!" Merida yelled. "Rider let himself get taken so we could save our skins. As much as I hate to say it, I owe him one."
"So...what do we do now?" Rapunzel asked.
"Sit tight, I guess." Merida sighed. "I'm going to keep an eye out for Pitch. You stay here, ok?" She smiled, arming her bow as she walked off.
"Be careful." Rapunzel said.
A while later, Jack still hadn't gotten back yet. Rapunzel was getting worried. Pascal gave a little whimper. "What's wrong, Pascal?" She asked, looking up. Her eyes widened at what she saw.
"M-mother?!"
