Hades' House/Thanksgiving pt. 2

Leo's POV

The door swung open, revealing a man.

"Hello?"

"Hey Charon!"

Nico said. Charon smirked.

"Master di Angelo....and friends."

He opened the door wider.

"Are your parents expecting you?"

Nico nodded. Nico stepped in and gestured for Charlie and I to follow. Charon guided us down the hall.

The hall had more decoration than my whole house. The walls were a dark blue with white paneling. The paintings were framed in silver and probably cost more than anything I'll ever own. A painting.

The rug was black, long, and was full of waves. Kinda like a river. I kinda felt bad dragging my suit case across it. Everything looked so expensive. Charlie's mouth was agape.

We stopped at a 2 big glass doors, which led to the dining room. Thanatos was running around. He stopped and pressed his face against the glass.

"Nikki!"

He yelled, the glass muffling it. Nico waved. Charon opened the door and we walked in.

"Thanatos, your gonna wreck the glass."

Charon said. Thanatos stuck his tongue out and ran away.

"Where is everyone? I thought you were leading us to them."

Nico said. Charon shrugged.

"They should be here. It's dinner time."

I heard people arguing down the hall.

"Found them."

Hades was wearing sweatpants and it really through me off. Persephone was still all done up.

"Your son is coming to diner, and you're still not dressing up?"

"Oh, he doesn't care, it's Nico."

Nico flung his hands into the air.

"Wow, rude!"

He yelled. His dad looked up and laughed.

"Oh, shut up you know it's true!"

He walked right up to Nico and hugged him.

"How's school?"

"It's school."

Hades nodded.

"It's a bitch ain't it?"

He smiled.

"Sure is."

Charlie said.

"Yeah, you go to school for 12 years, then you decide hey! Let's go back for 8 years. You won't regret that."

Hades was staring off into the distance.
His head snapped back when Nico talked.

"Yeah, and let's throw in 2-oh wait 3, kids into the mix. That'll turn out great."

"Sure did, didn't it."

"Yup, one's dead, another one hates you, and hey, the third one's alright."

We all stared at Nico.

"Let's go eat."

Nico opened the door to the dining room. I followed him in, Charlie following me.

"Oh, Charon go fetch Hazel and Thanatos."

Persephone said. Hades was still staring at Nico, while walking into the room and sitting down.

"Right away ma,am."

Charon walked away. Oh boy, a family dinner.

"So, what's for supper?"

Nico asked. Hades looked at him.

"Pizza."

He said.

"Cool."

Me and Charlie sat next to each other. Charlie leaned over.

"So, when were you guys gonna tell me?"

I looked at him.

"Tell you what?"

Charlie rolled his eyes.

"You know."

What could he be talking about? He already knows me and Nico are dating.

"I really don't."

He sighed.

"When were you gonna tell me you guys....did it?"

"We haven't. I mean, not as a couple."

Charlie's eyes grew wide.

"So, Halloween huh?"

How the fuck.....?

"How do you know that?"

"Nico told me."

I glared at him from across the table. He smiled, but it faltered.

"When did he tell you?"

Me and Nico had talked about it. I'm officially Nico's first.

"Family Day. Though he wasn't sure if you guys actually had."

He told him before he told me? The fuck?

"Oh. Well yeah, we've done it, but we haven't done it as a couple. What makes you think we have?"

He shrugged.

"You guys seem less....awkward? And more closer."

I blushed.

"I told him I loved him. That's why."

Charlie didn't say anything. I looked at him. His jaw was dropped. He eventually spoke.

"What did he say?"

"He just said he wasn't there yet, then we went and fed fish."

Charlie nodded.

"Shitty."

"Not really. Love isn't meant to requited, it's just meant to be felt."

"You're way to wise for your age."

I smiled.

"No, I've just been told how things are."

Charlie looked like he was about to say something when Thanatos and Hazel burst into the room.

"Nico!"

Hazel said, wrapping his arms around him.

"Hey Hazel."

Thanatos ran up and grabbed Nico's sleeve.

"Nikki! Nikki!"

Hazel let go of Nico so he could pick up Thanatos.

"How's my favourite brother doing?"

"I'm your only brother!"

"So that makes you my favourite!"

Thanny giggled. Food came out of the kitchen. Surprisingly it wasn't pasta, but in fact pizza. And not like frozen pizza, like home-made Italian pizza. Holy shit, this looks fucking great.
