Percy's POV

"Percy!"

I looked around to see Annabeth holding a newspaper outside my door.
"Look at this." she showed me the first page.

I grabbed it.

"What is this?!"

It showed a picture of me giving drachmas to Samson.
"It's says you are trying to get the umpire on your side to win the competiton."
"But-"
"You have to do something."
The world spun in front of me. "Theres a competition today."
"What can you do?"
I ran out of my room and to the front doors to see cameras and shouting journalists.

How could this happen over 12 hours?

I felt sick.

What did I do wrong?

Nobody knew.

No.

I knew I felt eyes on me.

I knew it.

The soldiers were keeping the journalists out.
"Percy!"

I just wanted to run now.

It would of been much simple if I had just died.

I teetered on ny unbalanced legs and fell to the ground.

I wasn't supposed to meet him.

Why did the fates hate me so much?

I felt a hand on my shoulder. Not Annabeth's. The journalists became quiet. No flashing lights. Annabeth helped me up, but I couldn't stand.

Why was it me?

Lights.

Bright lights.

Voices.

A black silence.

LET ME OUT!!!!

LET ME out...

Let me out....

And a horrible two months.

Annabeth's POV

"He's just shocked."

Victor seemed a bit shaky while he said it. The others were also shocked by the news. Silena rubbed her face.
"What do we do?"
"The umpire does say that it wasn't that, but of course they don't believe him." Lee said.
Beckendorf clasped his hands together.
"What about Percy?"
"I don't know.... He rested yesterday, so the citizens wouldn't like it if they pushed it back again." Victor said
"But Percy...." Bianca faltered.

"Annabeth."

I looked up at Victor, suprised.
"Me?"
"Please help him. You're the best person here to." Victor pleaded.
