Me and Daniel barely spent time together after that night, We never even got the chance to finish what we started the morning before Lyra interrupted us. Work had being crazy for the both of us, He asked me to join him back at the office but I hadn't decided if that was the best idea yet. I was on lock up duty once again at the bar. Since Daniel came back in my life Ryan has being quite moody with me rather alarming but maybe he's just go a lot going on and I'm reading way to much into it.  I wiped down the bar, cleaning all the glasses and jugs, making my way around the bar cleaning up the tables. It took me about an hour to clean up before I was fully satisfied with my work, the time was 2.30am and I was ready to fall asleep on one of the tables. 

I  regretted  not driving to work, the air was crisp and dry as I walked out the bar. Winter was just around the corner and the weather wasn't exactly gentle this year. I crossed my arms over my chest after locking up, My jaw shook causing my teeth to hit off each other as the cool air wisped through my clothes, I walked at a faster pace than usual attempting to get home quicker.

I decided to take a detour to Johns I felt bad him being cooped up alone in the cold especially, After a lengthy walk I stood on his front porch walking over to his door I raised my hand knocking gently on the door. ''John! It's Bella I'm coming in'' He usually kept his door unlocked, living here was a lot safer than the city well that and he sleeps with a rifle next to him. I chuckled at the thought as I entered his home.

''Old man where you at?'' My voice echoed through the silent halls, his house felt colder than the outside which put me in a frame of panic.

Flashing lights filled the sky as I sat on John's  porch, I watched as the paramedics took him away in the back of an ambulance.  The paramedics spoke to me but I heard nothing just muffled sounds followed along with their mouths moving, I waved them off as I continued to walk home. The ambulance drove off behind me lights still flickering before the road became dark once more, I sighed as I hugged myself the cold starting to get to me once again.

After walking for over half an hour I made it back to mine finally, what was 2.20am was now 4am, I lifted my keys out my pockets my hand numb from the cold as I attempted to place the key in the hole. ''Here let me help before you smash you door in''  A familiar voice spoke as a hand reached around taking my keys, ''Daniel? where the hell did you come from?'' I spoke turning around to face him. ''I waited for you to get home but you took way longer than expected where were you?''  

I wrapped my arms around him attempting to find warmth, ''Hell Bella you're frozen get in the house''  He lifted me from the ground unlocking the door quickly as he entered the house he placed me on the couch with a blanket as he lit the fireplace. ''John's I was at John's'' My voice was a mere whisper as I kept my head low my eyes hardened on my legs. ''Is he okay?'' Daniel walked over to me handing me a mug of hot chocolate, I shook my head knowing if I spoke again his death would ultimately sink in.

''Okay baby, Let's just get you in a bath before you get sick'' He changed the topic pretty quickly which I was thankful, I gave him a nod as he exited the room assuming he went to the bathroom. ''the bath will be ready soon baby'' I heard his voice echo through the hall. I sipped my beverage as the fire crackled and popped, heat had merely returned to my body, my hands still felt numb.

A few minutes had passed I finished my drink just in time for Daniel to come out of the bathroom letting me know the bath was ready, I walked over to him allowing a smile to tug on my lips as I got in the bathroom. ''Are you coming in?'' I spoke up as I turned around unclasping my bra under my shirt. ''Would you like me to?'' He spoke leaning his shoulder against the doorway.
