It Started on Lazy Day

"No pity, got it," Infinite sighed, biting into his pastry, "I think you should tell Sonic. He might be more understanding than you think. I mean, you never really talked to him during that time."

"I'll think about it," they went quiet again after that conversation. But not an awkward silence, it was a natural silence. They simply enjoyed their drinks in each other's company. Not friendly, but not hostile. Just like they'd promised Sonic, both alphas were getting comfortable in each other's company.

Then, that Monday morning, both Alphas looked for their omega. Perhaps wanting a bit of praise for doing what they were asked. Of course, being absolutely lovestruck from Sonic's braided quills in the morning sun was not what either of them expected. They'd spent their entire day basking in the memory of their omega dressed more femininely than they'd ever seen before.

"Oh, I didn't think one weekend would get you both to get along so well already," Sonic opened up his large bento box. They were meeting in the hidden corner of the yard, Sonic and Infinite often sat alone in.

"We can be mature enough not to kill each other," Shadow replied, not paying much attention and simply admiring Sonic.

"Is that so?" Sonic had noticed Infinite and Shadow seemed much calmer than usual, "Something going on with you two?"

"You're more beautiful than usual today. It's hard to look away~" Infinite cooed, a fidgeted with his phone for a moment before holding it up, "Can I?"

"Oh," Sonic blushed, recalling how much Infinite had enjoyed taking pictures of him at the museum. Sonic gently nodded, he didn't mind pictures, but Infinite was the only person to directly ask him permission before taking one, "Sure. I don't mind."

Shadow perked up; he'd only received one picture of Sonic, and it was with chili all over his face. He'd never thought about asking for more pictures before.

"I would like a picture too," Shadow spoke up after Infinite had taken what sounded like four or five pictures (really, it was more like ten).

"... Sure," Sonic paused for a moment, Shadow had never asked him for a picture before, "Is all this really just cause of the quills?"

"If you'd let me, I'd take pictures of you all the time. I know you let the Newspaper Club take some in the festival. I took some too. You looked so focused while cooking," Infinite held out his phone to show a picture of Sonic with a white headband on and an apron while he was tossing a pan full of beef for a rice bowl.

"That's such a cool action shot! I didn't even notice you took that picture," Sonic was less impressed with his appearance and more focused on how the flames and food in the pan looked so clear mid flip. Of course, Shadow took that instant to capture a picture of the spark in Sonic's eyes. Infinite was in the picture too, but he could ignore that. Infinite was blushing, proud of the compliment he'd received.

"Have you considered a photography career?" Shadow spoke up as the photo moved on. All of them focused on Sonic or his interactions with others at the festival. Every photo was of incredible quality and composition.

"Y-yes. I like taking pictures of things I find beautiful. I'd like to do more of that," Infinite replied.

"You'd be a great photographer, Infinite." Sonic gave him a smile as they continued eating.

It was a surprise to Shadow when, after finishing his sad school lunch sandwich, Sonic handed him a spare pair of chopsticks. Infinite was picking off food from the bento box Sonic had brought. Shadow hesitated; he'd thought he'd never get to taste Sonic's heavenly meals again. Not, he had permission. He quickly took a bite from the closest item to him. This was completely different from before. This wasn't a good meal in exchange for a secret. No, Sonic's lunchbox was made with care, and it was so much better to eat sitting right beside him instead of alone.
