"Perfect," He said, he tucked a piece of her behind her ear. And it made her shiver, almost like his touch made her feel something.

"It's funny, my mom used to call me Connie when I was in my head... I'm not trying to bring the mood down or anything. Sorry," Conrad expressed.

"You aren't, I like it when we all talk about Susannah. It reminds me of the good" Bre smiled.

"Mmm, I've missed that" He smiled. Bres's face fell a little when she looked at him.

"Can we talk about the elephant in the room? I feel like we are both pretending didn't happen" Bre sighed.

"I'm sorry about the Funeral..." Bre admitted.

"You don't have to apologise" Conrad shook his head.

"No, I do, I was awful. And I was pathetic. And it was about Susannah not about me. I'm just so sorry" Bre said. She felt worse after saying that.

"I honestly just wanted to be there for you. That's...That's why I went to the rec room" Bre said.

"It's fine, really it's fine," Conrad said. His face had fallen.

"It's not fine, It wasn't fine. It's not like we are...were together. I had no right" Bre sighed. All of her inner thoughts came flooding out.

"Of course you did" Conrad admitted. A part of him knew that although they weren't together they would hopefully find their way back.

"I was having a panic attack... I just crumbled. Felt like I couldn't breathe, like everything was falling apart. Aubrey was the one that found me" Conrad admitted, Bre without thinking took his hand. He willingly took it.

"I wish it was you," Conrad said. Pulling Bre into a hug.

"Do you think maybe we could talk about everything in a few days?" Bre said pulling away.

"Yeah, I'd like that" Conrad smiled.

"Okay now let's go get some fun things for this party" Bre said taking his hand with one hand and pushing her cart with the other.

They managed to find some disposable cameras for the party too along with some fun decorations. They all piled it into both cars and headed home.

Bre who'd managed to find a dress with some orange and red patterns throughout it was putting that on while listening to Taylor and Bre talk in the bathroom.

Bre had curled her hair put light makeup on and put on her usual Converse.

"Wait Bre, you look Hot" Taylor said coming out of the bathroom and seeing Bre. The dress was short but not too short and it accentuated her figure. It was a weird dye pattern but it was Susannah's so she didn't care.

"Bre did you invite Finn to this?" Taylor asked. It had completely slipped her mind.

"No, shit. Does that make me a bad friend?" Bre asked slightly laughing to herself.

"Well no, because I can hear him downstairs" Taylor said smirking.

If there was one thing about Taylor was that she loved drama.

Bre didn't think twice about grabbing her phone and heading downstairs. She'd been hiding upstairs since they got back from the shops.

"Wow, Bre" Jere said spinning her around when he saw her.

"Thank you" Bre smiled.

"You know I've got to tell you something" Jeremiah said leaning down and whispering in her ear and all she smelt was alcohol.

"What is it Jerebear?" Bre said teasing. She saw Conrad from behind him looking over and Finn moving over to speak to him.

"You are gonna break some hearts tonight" Jere said laughing standing back up.

"Yeah stop the teasing, and to be a host," Bre said pushing him away.

She walked over to where Finn and Conrad were standing talking.

"This right here is a weird sight" Bre said pointing between them, Conrad didn't look like he was going to hurt him nor did Finn look like he was gonna cry.

"You are really funny, we are just talking about Stanford," Finn said taking a swig of his drink.

Bre smiled between them hoping that they could become friends.

"What that you eat all the hashbrowns on Fridays because you get there right when the dining hall opens" Bre joked, it was one of her favourite memories of college.

"You said that was going to your grave" Finn said defensively before the trio fell into a pit of laughter. Bre looked out at the house and dreamed of all the summers they could've had there.
